Subject: render mirror in daz

Mirror is all reflection. But in daz how to express mirror besides check trasparency ,IOR,raytrace? Thanks.

I don't know that I have done that much with mirrors in Daz but in one scene recently there was big mirror on the wall that looked terrible when I went to render so I dropped a highly polished metal Iray shader onto the glass section and it worked as intended showed the opposite window frame curtains and outside scenery. I don't know if there is a mirror shader available there probably is Someone else may have another idea but this got me out of trouble.

thanks Johnny. You'd better say to mirror:Mirror,Mirror.Dei Sub Numine Viget. Why not buy a nice mirror to your wife?

My wife usually gets everything she wants atpo I always look after her. My first 2 hours of the day at work are for me to buy a burger and coke the other 20 hours are for her and my little princess. I am at a crossroad and don't know what to do A) Get a better paying job or B) Find a cheaper wife. Both options have merit although decent jobs are hard to come by.

There is a good specular based mirror shader at sharecg that will work better than a metal shader for things like beveled glass. http://www.sharecg.com/v/81125/browse/21/DAZ-Studio/Iray-Mirror-Shader

and thanks JOHNNY. I bet that your wife's dream is that she will have a restraunt and she is boss. That is your very big, interseting job. Maybe someday VIP will go to the restraunt to eating as extremly. Just same as "the magnificent seven".YiHa! Have you ever ride a hose with your wife?So romantic. Or buy a horse to your princess? They must be delighted. But first let their stamoch delighted by this cooking menu, which is your best job too. 51e8d952b0a0a (1).jpg

Look so nice atpo. You are right I am better cook than Trinity so I will be in the kitchen as chef and she will be the boss so the only difference will be more people. I have done my time with the horses they are one of the greatest creatures to grace the earth but two wheels and a Harley badge is far less work my friend.

Thanks for the info DustRider I must admit I was on the Iray rendering system too I probably sent you off course there with my comment.

Thanks Johnny. Have ever know about dreams of your wife's childhood? For how many lost dreams she crying? But why not trying to let these dreams be reailty? Between her and your dreams or lost dreams are the same in childhood?Must some are same. But why not let these be reailty together! Have ever know about what favorite toys in her childhood? But why not buy these toys again for her? Your wife must be crazy at you and love you to the end even if you are not a richman.

spad007 ( ) posted Thu, 17 December 2015 at 5:05 PM

Pick the surface. Thence in surfaces change diffuse to 0% or black really black 0-0-0 Thence in surfaces change specular to 100% gray like 192-192-192 Thence in surfaces set glossiness to around 75% Thence in surfaces change reflection color to gray also 192-192-192 Thence in surfaces change Ambient to 0% Thence in surfaces reflection color If there is a reflection map change it to none. Thence in surfaces set refection to about 95% This will give you a start you can play with it from there. this is not for poser or I ray Daz only
