I checked it and it works in Poser Pro 2014 well.

The DAZ website is at times frustrating. Where do you find G3F? Searching on "Genesis 3 Female" does not turn up the base figure.

You have to download the Genesis 3 Starter Essentials, this contains G3F and G3M.

Will this work on G3M as well? I'm on PP2014 but if it works like Jules says I might be persuaded to finally install DS.

I tried it with G3M but it didn't work for me, all face morphs and visimes let the head explode. Maybe Willdial will do it for G3M too, lets wait.

So it look for me, no render, preview mode

If you download the D|S 4.9, not neccessaryly to install, it is part of the package but you need Studio installation, at least 4.8 to start the transformation.

I see, lol....Great render...tried her afterwards in 2014, couldn't apply any textures. Have not experimented in 11 yet...

Well I got an error when I hit the UPDATE button: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." When I close that dialog, the text in the program says Error and that's it. PP 11 64 bit, DS 4.8 64 bit. The first part that is done with DS saving out the G3F works fine. Poser loads that figure fine, so DSON is proven OK. Saving Figure out of PP 11 to new file name is fine, as it loads back into Poser ok. But running the Genesis3PoserSetup.exe gets the error. Oh, using external runtimes too. Any ideas folks?

Nevermind, I got it I got it! I messed up something in the saving process from DS. I deleted my mistakes and started fresh, following the Userguide PDF to the letter and it worked. Now I have a G3F loaded in PP 11 with Skin, morphs and posing. Time to go buy Fred Winklers Livia! McG.

The G3F I used has DAZ's Genesis 3 Head and Body morphs loaded. So, seems DSON Importer for Poser and the Save PCF's did the job right. The morphs did come into Poser with the G3F. Hm. For right now that seems to be the only way to get them in. Saving PCFs for various things might work, haven't tried that with morphs or character sets.

Hi. It's a bug in the DSON Importer for Poser 1.2.0.12 - using an older version such as 1.1.3.50 does not produce the error

someone pm'd and asked to see an image of the dson poser importer error, so here's a side by side of 1.1.3.50 and 1.2.0.12. It is known that 1.2.0.12 introduced some issues, distortion on the genesis ankle is the most common one.

Someone also asked if the Genesis 3 Poser Setup tool worked on the Genesis 3 Male - I didn't have any problems using it on G3m and the expressions and face morphs all worked and I didn't get any mesh explosions, it's probably set up for the female but don't tell g3m lol

hi daz studio will create the DSON Conversions folder when you create the poser companion files

You can save the scene subset to any folder you want it doesn't have to be the C:Data/ Production folder - I made a new folder in my daz studio library called DSON Thingies and poser finds that folder from the poser companion files

We found the cause of the mesh explosion. It's due to the decimal separator issue. Some cultures use the comma (,) others use the period (.). I used Microsoft's recommend technique for convert to decimal value. Apparently, it doesn't work properly. (Insert Microsoft Here.) I hope to have an update soon.

Also, does anybody have some recommendations on how have the tool work for Macs? I'm a windows developer and all I have is an copy of Visual Studio 2008. The updater uses .NET Framework 3.5. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Another basic question.I cannot find where the Genesis3 Poser Updater is to launch. I have installed it and I have searched python scripts etc and I cannot find it! I do have my Poser 11 Content on a H:/Drive called Poser 11 Content.Cheers

Is this conversion Windows only or will it run on a Mac?

It is Windows only, until now no Mac support but I've seen somewhere that wildial is looking for help to make it for Mac happen too
