Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 21 6:06 am)
Check your private on site mail Spookie. I created a pose that's pretty close for you. Sadly I did not create a runtime folder for it's automatic install so you'll need to install it by hand in a location (under Poses) you choose. Hope it helps. You'll have to position your camera to match the image if you want to match exactly, but the pose itself is pretty close.

A pose like that takes about 10 minutes to make. I don't get it. Lol. Sorry.

Took me a bit as I was multi-tasking with some work I should have been doing but was half doing, but it's not a hard pose to create. I can only imagine that Spookie was busy with other tasks or such... I had some time I'd prefer goofing around than working so I whipped one up. :) Could be there's other parts that were being worked on.... Was no trouble at all :D

I totally suck at posing. Tried for a week to get it right before I asked for help.

Check your site mail AGentleMuse. Just out of curiosity what contest is this? Honestly I dawdle so much on contest entries I never enter them. I set up stuff and then get distracted... squirrel!

I'd post the pose to freestuff if I didn't get so easily distracted. Maybe in the future. I've been fiddling with making a free set of poses off and on...

I too am at a loss. Learn to pose your figures and you can do anything with them. Any pose starts at the hip and radiates out to the limbs and fingers. It helps to pose yourself in that way to see how the body parts would twist and bend.

I think that a figure's hand postures are one of the most important aspects of a natural looking image. It's a pet peeve when I keep seeing renders with those "mr. Roboto" hand poses... pre made poses are helpful as a starting base but I think that creating your own poses is an essential part of your personal style. Just my opinion of course.
I recall someone on here complaining or flustered that they needed this specific pose or they couldn't continue with their work... PhilC popped into the thread and said something like "it is called Poser you know". ;)

LOL. yeah, hands are the most important uless you are doing a bunch of karate chop pictures. And pose the eyes whiles you're at it! I usually have the model looking at the camera.

I've actually purchased poses here where the hands looked like they were not given enough time by the artist to pose correctly. It's not a big issue but I suspect some vendors might use preset hands for a lot of their sets. Nothing wrong with that, except when fingers bend in ways not recommended by doctors... lol
Thank you for the info Spookie :)

I do get it. There's nothing wrong with asking for help in something we find hard (even for much simpler things than a good pose) and everything right about Kazam's response. That I can respect.

You're being a wee bit hostile to me Isaoshi, dontcha think. Oversensitive. My comment is simply my opinion and it wasn't delivered in a nasty manner. I've noticed you have a problem with me. Use the ignore button please. Really, do us both a favor. :) I'm sure someone of authority, not yourself of course, will step in if I am too caffeinated. As it is I'm beginning to feel harrassed by you. :(

Here ya go Spookie Okay. I've made a Pose, Face and Camera files. Just copy and paste that link and extract that in your Poser runtime. Apply all three and do some minor adjustments to your liking I'd give you a direct link, but I would be violating the current TOS. Sorry for the minor inconvenience.

LOL, I just read the OP's deadline. It was due yesterday. So I was a day late. Oh well. I work weekdays and only have time to play on weekends. Anyhoo good luck, Spookie, tell Jherrit to extend the contest deadline.

Just beautiful! Thank you JV, it's really lovely!
It's so nice to see that there are still people who will step up when someone asks for help. We can't all be expert posers of characters and this is the perfect example of how this site should work.
Any one of us should be able to come here and feel free to solicit the aid of more expert artists. Moreover, all of us should show willing and offer assistance. This is how we learn. This is how we move forward. This is how we get along. This is how we make this site a better place.
Kudos to those who offered their help and expertise!

This is for a contest that's deadline is tomorrow. I am in desperate need of a head and shoulder pose of V4 blowing a kiss. Like the image attached. (credit goes to artist, this is for sample purposes only)
