Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 29 7:57 am)
Not bugs. First off you pull in your character then choose your clothing without double-clicking. You will see two checks below the library, use those to bring in the clothing. The boots will not fit you need to double click in the foot and toes to make them invisible, then put the boots on. The bra will not change size unless it has morph targets to make it do so. You need to read the tutorial in the manual to get started, it will pretty much show you all the basics. Be careful of Poseritis, an inflammatory condition caused by the addiction to Poser models. lol Welcome to Poser! Marque
One thing that I always do wrong: I get the man/woman into the picture, then get all the clothes and things just right...then I go to pose. OOOps I forget to choose the character and the body before going to a pose.... Then the clothes end up posing, and the poor man/woman is crumpled up in agony. Just wanted to share one other boo-boo by a "beginner" who has been at this for a few months now.

Hehe, yeah, I have been at this for 3 months, (but still manages to fight the "pseritis" away) but had lots of problems with cloths and poses, I quicky found out that using the sliders not the mouse to move the body parts was a good idea when geting exact, also plz check out my curent project and give me some constructive comments...Attached Link: http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/iishadowcatii/website/index.htm
You may want to look at some of the tutorials as well, I know most are for when you get further along, but there are some beginner stuff. I've included my website link, as it has beginner tuts. As for the conforming clothing issue, most just get the image as close to what they want as they can with poser, then import into another paint program and fix the little things there. This is commonly referred to as "postwork"Had another go with the boots from the clothing-female section (boots WL and WR). Did the figure conform to bit, but it still didn't work properly - the figures foot still pops through the boots. I'm sure I'm missing something pretty obvious here so you'll have to forgive the beginner :) Try as I might I can't get the boots to work! Can someone give me a step by step guide so I can see what I'm doing wrong ! Thanks Lester
Thanks for the info about the invisibilty bit - obvious really when you think about it! Your foot is in the boot and therefore not visible - learning things new now :) Worked pretty well but still small patches where the flesh shows through. I assume I would correct these errors in a image processing program. Early days but it's fun to clothe the models :) Lester

I have just got Poser and explored some of the main aspects. I had problems with applying some clothin or hair to the P4 nude woman for example, either it didn't work or the figure disappeared just leaving the hair! Tried the boots, and they seemed to only partly conform, areas of flesh coming through. Other thing I noticed was if I added a bra to the model and changed her bust size, the breasts would come through the conformed bra - this doesn't seem right! It's early day I know, but are there any bugs known about and for which an update will fix? Thanks. Lester
