Subject: Rigging qs and Python q

I want to rig a model which has a rigid torso, rigid hip and a bendy abdomen but whatever I try, the parts either split or distort horribly? I know it can be done, because the old Daz Droid had a similar setup.

Now, joint falloff zones...what are they? Where can I get at them/see them/faff about with them?

Weight mapping? Is it an actual map? Where is it to be found?

Python... ashamed to say I've never been able to get to do this but how can I add something to the Python menu and keep it so that it's in the menu next time I start Poser?

Thanks in advance

Rigging:- http://www.philc.net/rigging1.php

Joint Parameters:- http://www.philc.net/joint_parameters_1.php

Python menu:- (a) the 10 button Python pallet. C:Program FilesSmith MicroPoser 11RuntimePythonposerScriptsmainButtons.py Open in a text editor and it should be self apparent. (b) the Poser Scripts menu. Any py file placed in C:Program FilesSmith MicroPoser 11RuntimePythonposerScriptsScriptsMenu or a sub folder will appear in the Poser scrips menu.

Hope that helps.

It certainly does, Phil. Thank you so much. You are, as I have said before, a gentleman and a scholar.
