Subject: Poser hanging up on a Mac/osX

cclesue ( ) posted Tue, 28 June 2016 at 6:02 PM · edited Thu, 07 November 2024 at 4:46 AM

I'm sure this has come up before but my search didn't help. I'm running both Poser 11 (latest version) and Pro 2012. Both have the same problem and I'm convinced it has something to do with the preferences. Problem is I can't find them for either app. I've refer the SM articles but they aren't where they say they should be. Perhaps if I knew the exact title for this files I could do a search but as of now i am at loss. . . ideas?

The Poser 11 preferences file is in your user Application Support folder:-

Users / {username} / Library / Application Support / Poser (or Poser Pro) / 11 / Poser Prefs

It should be there for earlier versions too.

Note that the Library folder might be hidden, depending on your version of OS X. I have unhidden mine.

It must be hidden and I can't figure out how to unhide. What is the exact name of the prefs. file? Thanks for your help

from your desktop hit: Command + Shift + G

for poser pro 11 (what I have) paste: ~/Library/Application Support/Poser Pro/11/

and hit enter

For Poser pro 2014: ~/Library/Application Support/Poser Pro/10/

I dont have it but my guess for poser pro 2012: ~/Library/Application Support/Poser Pro/9/

And maybe poser 11: ~/Library/Application Support/Poser/11/

Let me know if you find it. If not I will explain how to show hidden files and folders

Well I found files for 10,11,11_201603300905, and 11_201605242056 Inside I find a bunch of stuff but I'm assuming poser prefs is the file I want , is that correct? Do I remove this file from each of these folders? for the PP2012 folder I find /poser pro/9/ but no prefs file for poser 9 For m own Info how do you show hidden files and folders? Thanks

No need to use Terminal, there's a much easier way:-

Open a Finder window, hit Command+J (Show View Options), and tick the option: Show Library Folder.
