Subject: unworn clothes

Hi

i have a lot of problems when i need to build a scene with clothes not on a figure.

For example, pants, shirt ecc. on a bed or on a chair ecc.

There are ready props or i need to use dynamic clothes ?

many thanks

I use IDL, Gamma Correction and EZSkin for all final renders.

Depends on what you want to do.

  • You can go dynamic
  • You can go Bullet physics in the latest Poser versions
  • You can use the morph brush
  • You can use magnets to deform
  • You can create "handles" in Poser11
  • You can take original obj file in a 3D app and "defom" as required => (never - ever use an obj exported from Poser. That simply does not work, because vertex order gets lost)
  • Any combination from the above.

Hundreds of options but all depend on what exactly you want to do.

Turn the zScale of body to 15% or lower, You can get a quick flat cloth.

This was quick ... just on the floor. 4 dynamic articles of clothing. 4 simullations in turn, each colliding against self, ground and all others. Took 5 minutes.

And 2 with a chair (shirt and dress) ... less than five minutes to set up and render.

Check in the dynamic cloth menu "self-collision" and increase the collision offset and collision offset, maybe to 2.000 each.

" increase the collision offset and collision offset ..."

The same thing or it's a mistake ?

I knew mine wasn't perfect, they were quick and dirty examples that needed fine tuned. It was a starting point. I really like the added tips!

Collision offset and collision depth, I'm sure.

Also you might try _smoothing _the items with the morphing tool. Actually your clothes are pretty smooth already, but if they come out like Boni's, a little smoothing would help.

Yes, collision offset and collision depth, of course! Did it help?

This is something I think should be made more prominent. I was rendering a boy's room and thought, "it's way too perfect. It needs be messier!" I haven't done dynamic very often but this is another reason to learn.

(Sorry about the messy room, Mom!)

Try VWD Cloth & Hair for Poser, available here at Renderosity. There is a lite and full version. Yes, it costs, but worth it.
