Subject: CCEZ Catalogue Software

Evidently Daz will not allow me to ask this question on their website. Has anyone had any experience with the CCEZ Catalogue software for Daz?

Thanks Ron B

I did a search on Daz's forum and found some of comments on it. It seems that the program scans all your installed items every time it's run. If you have a lot of content, and you probably do if you're looking for a program like this, it can take quite some time. Folks are complaining about it and the author is giving some BS excuse (or what I see as BS) for it. He mentions that it's not really a cataloguer (?) and for cataloguing one should use 'CCPro'. I could not find CCPro anywhere on Daz or the net for that matter. Considering the lack of discussion on the forums, it can't be that popular.

Which, at least to me, would explain why DAZ doesn't want any more traffic about this product. Because , again I am assuming, that vendor relationships can be volatile as one unhappy vendor can lead to other unhappy vendors. Even if there is no cause for themselves.

CCPro does exists and I think you can use it for more than Daz ie your photos and media so must run by file extensions and you choose the folders etc. I have a vague memory of using this for Poser because a 100 person search party couldn't find my Daz stuff as long as their butts point to the ground. At a guess I would think the Daz moderators don't want it on the Daz forums because of assumptions made by everybody due to lack of facts, including me. Only thing I can point out is that the product is in the Daz store and I can't imagine Daz leaving it there if it did not work although it should be considered the lite Daz version.

If the OP is interested and wants to sitemail me I will send them the link to check out the full version

@kittykat98 Sent you the link via sitemail.

@RHaseltine Your link is fine with us. Links to Daz or Smith Micro forums etc are always acceptable providing they are to help members solve their issues. Tutorials and info sheets are also welcome.

Actually my first post was about too many items.... my 2nd post was specifically about a piece of software and if people had positive or negative things to say. I seldome post anything here are renderosity as the mods tend to be real jerks. Don't fret I will not post again
