Sculptris is a toy it's to get you at the zBrush website to buy zBrush.
to sculpt zBrush, MudBox,3DCoat etc etc it's very STRONGLY advised to have a Wacom intuos pro medium or better n the skills to use it. Just like it takes skill to draw batman ,need skills for zBrush. Blender has a built in sculptor in it. I have n love my zBrush but MudBox is my fav sculptor.

Hi the easiest way to save a video from youtube is the copy the URL and paste it into the field on this web page http://en.savefrom.net/
I have curated a massive library of video tutorials on After effects ,Iclone Pro,Cinema 4D etc. ready to access at my leisure by using this free download website.

I have a large Monoprice drawing tablet... but I know it doesn't have all the features the Wacom stuff has.
I didn't know Blender could sculpt, cool.
I did a quick search and saw something about the Mudbox subscription. Is this a good way to go? Also.. I have a lot of sculpting experience in real life. I wonder if this would help me in the digital sculpting format?
Look at the 2 video's in the Poser2Blender2Poser tread. That is basically what can be done in the Blender-Poser combination. (and more video's to come) If you have a specific request, feel free to ask.
As far as tablets and other add-ons go? I think I have had them all.. LOL. But, I always return to the good old mouse, and for modelling, and for sculpting, and for texture painting.
Glad to be of help. All Native Poser figures can be enhanced like this (and what will be shown in the future video's) except 3.

It's all personal preferences I personally just like sculpting in mudbox best n modeling in C4D best. Each individual has there own personal preferences. you may like zBrush best for sculpting n LW best for modeling. they all have Demos ,So you can find you Favs. :)

The most common is 3d.sk, but you have to pay for the photo's.
You can also Google images for:
To "mirror" model, or to mirror sculpt with "Symmetry ON", you can do with half a good picture.
Attention ! ! ! !
Modeling and sculpting is the easy part. LOL.
Then you have to UV_Unwrap it, and build the textures. => The second most easy part. LOL.
The hardest part to get correct, and to get a good figure is the rigging. => then finetune the texture and the obj file to get a good combination.
What I propose : (if you are completely "new" to this :
Folow my tutorials again, then open the Poser-Pro-Lo-Res Male or Female in Blender. => Unzip the obz into obj, and import using my import settings.
Keep YouTube open on the side, and when you run into a Blender question? There is always a tutorial to be found that covers it. LOL.
Then export following my tutorial and load the FBM. This way, you do not have to worry about UV-Unwrap, texturing or rigging, but you can concentrate on learning the Blender tools.
best regards, Tony
Not That I do a lot of mapping or texturing ,but zBrush has a auto mapping n 3D polypaint which makes mapping n texturing very easy so it's no trouble.
I think Blender has a auto mapper n I think you can 3D paint with photoshop.
but with out any doubt https://www.allegorithmic.com/ is the best at texturing meshes.

Tony, I am trying to modify the Pauline character by stretching her torso to make her taller. I used the box select tool to select most of the faces of her torso and I am trying to shape it using the scale tool. When I do this it seems to pull parts of the mesh apart and openings are created. Is there some trick to do this properly I am not aware of?
Did you import the ORIGINAL Pauline.obj, extracted from the Pauline.obz?
If you get the mesh opening up (the chest group separating from the abdomen group) you are working on something exported from Poser. => And as I said in the video? LOL.
That does NOT work. => You end up with UNWELDED groups and they WILL open up. LOL.
It is IMPOSSIBLE to work with figures exported from Poser. (Even the direct GoZ into Zbrush messes up vertex count)
Secondly, for "sizing" individual groups => Wait for the match centers to morph video. For "sizing" the figure and group "origines" become very important.
Thanks Tony.. yeah I think I misinterpreted your explanation about the file there. I was mixing up your different tutorials in my mind - the head model and the body model.
I'll figure it out. I also didn't know how to select whole edge loops quickly. Just noobie issues I have to work through I guess. :)

Actually Tron can you post some of your Art work ?
My old stuff is too embarrassing for me to post RorrKonn... one of the reasons I have been doing all this work to learn all this digital stuff is to try to work through issues I had drawing non-digital. That's why I am going through all this to create these models and drawing guides. I always had issues planning my drawings out before hand and having the patience to finish them. I am hoping this will help me overcome a lot of the problems I had in the past and I can do some better work. So hopefully it all works out.. it's a big experiment. haha

Does anyone know of a free resource online like a video series on Youtube or a website that gives a tutorial from the beginning to end on creating a character from scratch in Blender?
I am wondering if anyone here has seen a really good one they would recommend.
Would it be possible to start it in a free sculpting program like Sculptris then move it to Blender to "rig it"?
Also, I want to make characters I can use in Poser.
