Subject: Silly Silly me!

I had mentioned previously I had an old installer for my Tempest for Sadie which I plan to upload to the Freestuff. Which Jules53757 so kindly answered me about file structure. However It was missing the material settings for Hair Pose files which I simply recolored Sadie's hair. I've recreated that but -shakes head mournfully...I don't remember how to save/export a pz2 file.

Any advice will be welcomed!

My advice is almost none of us use pose files anymore. If SM wanted you to save materials as poses, they would not have the mt5 file type.

Anyway - you save it as mt5 and then there's some editing you have to do in the file (one line if I recall) and then you rename it to pz2. But -- just don't.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

More info here

I think I said the wrong thing above - I think you want to save a mc6 and then convert that.

Thank you Bagginsbill! I guess it was because of the old Daz install I had. However the morphs are in there so I'll leave it in and the Hair texture recreation can stay in the textures folder. I'll make a note of that in my Readme!

What would I do without you all...๐Ÿ‘

I have noticed a few people saying not to make .pz2 files ... I would advice opposite because not everybody uses Poser you know. There are a few other programs that can use .cr2 and .pp2 files and they require .pz2 files [or their own program specific mat files] for mats.

I'm not a coding wiz, I do have a few programs that will drum up a basic ".pz2" mat file ... I could release one as a "starter" if it would help folk.

That would be great! Let me know. Funny I just watched a documentary on Boudica last night. Though I've known her a long time as a warrior woman in history.
