Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 20 11:41 am)
@galaxiefilm: That's just bwldrd's "signature". It appears at the end of each post. My sig is green and in smaller font; it just specifies what OS & apps I'm using.
Poser 12, in feet.
OSes: Win7Prox64, Win7Ultx64
Silo Pro 2.5.6 64bit, Vue Infinite 2014.7, Genetica 4.0 Studio, UV Mapper Pro, UV Layout Pro, PhotoImpact X3, GIF Animator 5
If the prop is something like a strip of polygons, you could clothify the tire track prop, and drape it onto the terrain.
Hmmm... I wonder if I could generate a pair of asymmetrical seamless tiles (a texture and a normal map) for tire tracks using Genetica?

Galaxyfilm, no these are not positionable because they are textures for bump or displacement use. Of course you can make your own tracks in PS or so, but it's a real tricky thing.
I've made a second post after my first with a hint to the Footsteps Tool by Nerd3D, but the Rendo admin has deleted this one. Unfortunately this tool (former DAZ3D) is not longer available and so you have to contact Nerd3D and ask him why. I'm thinking that the tool (released 2008-12-16) would not run any more in newer Poser versions!??

Thanks so much, Henning.
I know Charles and will send him a note asking where I can find the tool. He might have it on his own site or at Hivewire. I believe many of us know why it's no longer at DAZ.
This looks like a perfect solution. As I said in my initial post, I'm also doing S-3D renders, so adding the tracks in PhotosLop would be too dicey.
I'm using PP2012 at the moment.

Working on a graphic novel.
Can't find anything like this. But I'm looking for "tire tread tracks" as a poseable prop.
Anyone ever come up with anything like that?
Yes, I could add it in Photoshop, but since I'm also rendering Stereoscopic-3D versions of the panels too, life would be much easier if I could just lay it down on the sand, mud, or dirt.
