Short Story and Poetry Submissions

Writers Gallery has arranged for monthly publication of short stories and poetry in the Renderosity Magazine. We will be looking for original science fiction, fantasy, mystery, and surreal fiction. We will not entertain explicit sex or violence. Stories of interest will be “character oriented” and portray the human condition on a science fiction stage. Stories must be stand alone and not have already been posted in the Writers Gallery. Stories are recommended to be between 7,000 and 20,000 words. Unlimited submissions are permitted.

Submission and Manuscript Format

Short stories should be submitted as an email attachment in .DOC or .DOCX format. William Shunn’s guide to Proper Manuscript Format is an excellent source for proper manuscript formatting. http://www.shunn.net/format/story.html

We will not provide free editing services. All submissions are expected to meet the highest standards of publication before submission. Spelling and grammar errors will be an automatic rejection. The Chicago Manual of Style, Sixteenth Edition will be used as the style guide for submissions. If selected, your story or poem might not be published during the month it was submitted and spend several months on the waiting list. There is no monetary compensation for publication; this is an opportunity to reach more readers and gain followers for your gallery.

Very cool. Do you also entertain illustrated fiction? Like, a short story with an accompanying image?

I talked to wolfenshire about this and he said at this time they aren't accepting illustrated stories, but he's going to check with someone at the magazine and see what they have to say about it.
