I have all the DAZ's free Auto Fit Tools.I want to use Victoria 4 Skin Textures on Genesis 2 Female. I have tried the interactive lesson but all it does is give me clothing options.I want to be able to use Victoria 4's skin textures Genesis 2.Can anyone guide me hoe to do this? Cheers

You need the Victoria 4 for Genesis 2 Female plugin to apply the UV mesh for V4 textures.

Going back and checking on some sources, you may need DraagonStorm's V4 Skins Auto Converter for Genesis 2 Female to actually aid this change over.

There are two ways:

without changing the texture (maps):

  • It's mandatory to have the V4 UV template for G2F
  • Draagonstorm auto converter can read a pz2 files and apply the map to the correct part of G2F. At the end the plug ask you to change the Uv template of G2F to use V4 template

with changing the texture

  • Texture Converter converts the V4 maps to G2F and then you change the textures in the surface tab using the standard G2 template

Daz autofit tool is dedicated to convert clothes made for V4 to G2F not for character textures

If you have the V4 UVs you can also apply any non-duf format materials to Victoria 4 (ideally) or Genesis (OK, but will lose any eye transparency layer settings) and save a Materials preset from File>Save as. The point being that the materials have to be in .duf format to apply correctly to the renamed surfaces in Genesis 2 Female. The AutoConverter skips the apply/save steps.

Many thanks for your replies.Excuse my ignorance but where do I get the UV template for G2F? I have searched DAZ's site without any luck! I also have Texture Converter. Would that do the job? Cheers

Texture Converter won't help as it doesn't have plug-ins for the Genesis 2 female UVs - you could use it to convert other maps to Victoria 4, then apply those to Genesis 2 Female.

That won't help with Genesis 2 Female.
