Subject: Weird Daz Error, I can use help please.

Tazirai ( ) posted Wed, 31 May 2017 at 8:11 PM · edited Sun, 25 August 2024 at 3:38 PM

On some of my characters, I've created. I've noticed a weird error. When that character is loaded in a scene or even just into the environment. No matter where I select, even just empty space. It always pops up on her Right shin. Even If I'm selecting empty space. She then becomes buried underneath a sea of blue transparent triangles. Then it just says right shin.

Anybody heard of anything like that? It's driving me nuts not being able to select body parts without having to go to the Scene tab to select a part.

Any help would be appreciated.

Here's some pictures to assist. 1psy.jpg2psy.jpg

Hello Tazirai,

Your second character is wearing a hidden skirt (when you try to select "shin", grouping of the dress is appearing). The "blue" is certainly a hidden geometry "exploded" by a morph... Select your second character in the scene tab, delete all cloth, hair, etc...parented to it and retry. It should be working fine now

Hope it replies,

Best regards

That solved the problem thanks a lot mate. It was a cape that I had hidden, causing the morphs to go out of wack.

Hiding the geometry should not cause problems with morphs, deleting hidden will break vertex order thus destroying morphs.
