Has anyone else run into problems submitting entries to contests, or have you found a way to work around the thumbnail issue? I've just missed the deadline for the Crazy with Maisie contest, after spending over an hour trying to upload the rendered image and thumbnail. The thumbnail (in jpg format) kept coming back as the wrong size, no matter if one dimension was exact and the other smaller than the limit, or exactly the right number of pixels (either of the image or a plain square). I've spent the last few weeks learning Poser, and working toward that submission (strand hair, full body morph and pose, creating clothing). The render took longer than my laptop's battery life this morning, hence the late night posting. In any case, I've learned a lot during the process, so it was a worthwhile experience. But if you have run into similar problems with contest entries through Renderosity, please let me know. If you've run into similar problems, and found a solution, that would be even better.

Now, I am going to do a draft render of my character leaping off a bridge, then hopefully sleep.

Good to know. To give me an idea of where the problem crept in, could you tell me the dimensions of the thumbnail (in pixels)? It would let me figure out whether the issue is that the conversion program does not give an absolute 350&300, if it was an earlier file version, or that the file when opened on my system gives different dimensions than those received. I'm not sure if the file was 350 by less than 300, 349 by 299, or something else.

I appreciate your looking into this, I won't spend time working competition pieces until I can solve this issue.

The image sizes I received in your email was 350x300 when it needed to be 300x350 and the other was 350x228 and again, should have been 300x350

That makes matters simpler. I was missing height and width, but the same cropping methods will work, now that I know which way is up. Next time I will have the entry ready earlier. I only bought Poser 11 a few weeks ago, and The Forest Awakes was my first (completed) render. I may take you up on the offer of help, and really appreciate your help in figuring out where I went wrong.
