Subject: DAZ Bridge error with animation

I am trying to do a hair animation with one figure (DAZ Genesis 2), Leyton Hair and another static collision object (prop). I set the Genesis 2 as a collision object, the the prop as a collision object, then add the Leyton hair. I have a 600 frame animation where the Genesis 2 character is moving but the prop is completely static. I set up the hair in the usual way. Then I start a dynamic simulation. It starts along fine. I can see frames advancing in DS and the selection keeps toggling back and forth between the Genesis 2 and the prop. Somewhere between 40 and 120 frames into the animation I get this error:

Any idea what I can do about this. I'm using DS 4.9.4.117 and I have the most recent VWD cloth and Bridge as of a few days ago.

I tried getting everthing else out of the scene, except for the Genesis 2 character and the prop. It got further. I got to frame 290 before getting this error.

I also just tried the new plugin that I got an email about today, but I get exactly the same result with it.

Could you try the following: When importing the collision object, could you press the record button and see how far it goes?

I did some experiments today. If I only set the Genesis 2 figure as collision and press record, it works fine. If I only set the prop as collision and press record, I get the error after a variable number of frames. Apparently there is something wrong with this prop. It is from a free set I got at ShareCG, so not surprising there might be something wrong with it.

But the prop is not actually moving at all. I can uncheck use animation for the prop and only record the animation for Genesis 2 and then I can get it to work.

I'm glad you found a solution.

Try loading the prop into Blender or similar; see if there is any geometry that 'looks wrong'. Not sure if VWD and the Bridge handle ngons ok. 5 or more sides. Or what they do with tris; never thought of it until now.
