Subject: need help getting a light saber to glow PLEASE

LIKE IN THIS RENDER i asked in comments but no one has commented in that pic in over a year ... i need settings and screenshots of how this person was able to achieve this .. please

Try setting the surface property of the lightbeam to emissive , then in the render setting under 'Filtering', turn on the bloom filter.

Decon215, i have and it glows but not like this mine has no aura around it and no matter what the 3 bloom settings are it seems way to bright on the character holding it ill attach a render when i get home

You also need to have very little other lighting in the scene, and turn off the headlamp on the camera. The sabre should be the only light source outside of a low level light probe.

For reference, this image in my gallery has a single light source to the right of the figure, and bloom on the lightsabre blade at 0.15.
