$90.00 a month is pretty steep. impressive !!!!!! Until Daz includes a user modeler friendly cloth simulator instead of.proprietary simulator, I will stick to Poser simulator for my cloth creations which I can't do now with DS. Pappy
Ummmm no...
What you saw is what's the total amount of money he's getting from all of his patrons. It costs only $10/month to get early access.

DAZ Studio now has dforce for cloth simulations instead of optitex. Anyone can make dynamic clothing now and it's a free plugin in version 4.10.
I think this developer is taking the correct path by using patreon, I wish him well.
However Since I model my own clothing I will stick with My combination of optitex DCC and Dyncreator. as I prefer having the ability to bake to morphs for real time playback and review before exporting as MDD to Maxon C4D & Lightwave where I do final renders.
Hmm... I did some further reading on his product..no thanks
To my mind the entire purpose of a dynamic cloth or hair system is its default compatibilty with ANY figure. He seems to have tied his "Solution" to the G3 figures" with makes ZERO sense to me.
With Optitex & Dyncreator I can use any figure I choose.
Even Posers Older cloth system has this level of versatility
He is offering DAZ studio users a paid cloth system that is less capable than the FREE Dforce system ( which will have full clothing vendor support by defaalt in time) or the OPtitex+Dyncreator option for us not upgrading to DS4.10 and model our own custom built meshes.

Also I can already Export my optitex cloth simulations to a single MDD file from within Daz studio for use in C4D ,Lightwave ,Bender ,or MODO He only offers the cumbersome series of ,mulitple object files option.
_"Requires Daz Studio and Genesis 3 based figures There are two ways that I see Artful Physics being used in the future. One is working with existing 3d modeling and rendering engines to provide clothing and other soft physics support. The other is more of a stand-alone tool that can deliver unique interactive and real-time experiences both on the desktop and through VR/AR.
_I chose Daz Studio and the Genesis 3 based figures as the first existing tool to integrate with. The fact that Daz Studio is available for free is certainly one reason for this choice. I am also a fan of the quality, customizability and strong user community built around the Genesis figures. It was important to pick a single base figure model to focus on for an initial release, and I couldn't come up with a better choice.
The integration with Daz Studio is a small collection of scripts whose source code is included. Most of the interchange is based around standard 3d file formats. Simulated cloth is exported as an .obj file that can be used with any 3d tool and animation frames are exported as a sequence of obj files to capture point positions for the frames. If Daz Studio had decent support for pc2 files, that would be used instead.__
^ In regards to using other figures, he's working to include support for any figure.
Still, its $10 - why would you not buy this man a few coffees and see what kind of amazing thing he's created?
For anyone interested in dynamic cloth animations, and don't want to deal with rigging, you can skip that whole step with his cloth import.

Why?? because I dont see any point in paying a monthly patreon fee for a plugin that is less versatile even than posers aged system to say nothing of Dforce or Optitex.
With optitex+Dyncreator I already have a system that enables me to use my own meshes and is not tied to any specific figure. And is Exportable as ONE file to other programs that I own (C4D,Lightwave 2015,Blender & MODO).
Just a note..... I have been a patron of this product since the beginning, donating $10 each month. Jim gave us the initial release then an update on Jan 8th. Then his last communication with us was in the middle of January. As of July 12th, there has been no communication (7 months). Guess he took our money and ran. I tracked him down and wrote him a letter, imploring him to please communicate with his loyal pratrons.....without any response. I won't be supporting a con man any longer.
This is very nice but like VWD, I'm not paying for beta software. WHEN (if?) he has a fully functional, ready to go program I might consider it. There are now two folks all working to the same end asking me to give them money on faith. I've been burned on that once before and will not fall for it again. Maybe the people working on VWD and this guy should get together and work on ONE program. Dforce isn't great but it's free. That's tough to compete against.

If you have not heard of it. There's an amazing plugin that has been released for Daz3D called Artful Physics Tailor.

Pretty good isnt it?
This plugin has the potential to make all other cloth simulations pretty much obsolete. That being dForce, VWD, DynCreator, Marvelous Designer OBJ/MMD export etc...
As of now it's bare bones v0.1 but even with that it mind the speed simulation and simplicity of this piece of software is second to none.
That's why it would be great if we could get as many Daz users as we can throw their weight at it and convince the author to expand its support in our favor rather than let him fly off to other platforms.
This is where I ask all of you the favor.
Would you mind throwing in some money in that guys direction?
After all those years we, as Daz3d users, deserve a proper cloth simulation.
