Hey all, I was wondering a couple of things. Daz is very different from Poser so bear with me. First question is, How do I change MM settings in the cameras? I would like to change it to a nice close up for some rendering. Also, would any of you kind people know how to ad a new light to the scene and where to adjust its properties like lumens, etc? Thank you so much!

I don't have it open right now, but I believe there is a Create menu at the top, and basic lights (distant, Spot, etc), you can use to add these to the scene. Cameras shoud be there as well. You open the Scene tab to see the listing of everything in your scene. Select the Light or the camera in the scene tab, and then you want to look at the Parameters tab to adjust light and camera settings (like Focal distance)

Add a camera to the scene, then go to windows/tabs/click on camera. That will open the camera dialog which will allow you to change any setting.

On lights, it depends on whether you are going to render in 3Delight or Iray. The lights are different between the two and if you are in the wrong one for the light you add it does nothing. The settings for the lights are different between the two also. l think point and spotlight work in both, not sure about distant, that works in 3Delight but not Iray. Iray also allows you to make surfaces light emitters, there isn't any easy way to do that in 3Delight.

The lights (the basic lights) are the same objects in 3Delight and Iray, it's just that some of their settings change (assuming you don't have Show Hidden Properties on).

3Delight does have uberArea included - it's a different shader, unlike the emissive properties of the Iray Uber Shader, but it is pretty simple to use once applied.
