Poser 11 / Poser Pro 11 OFFICIAL Technical F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 17 7:07 pm)
Welcome to the Poser Forums! Need help with these versions, advice on upgrading? Etc...you've arrived at the right place!

Hate to be obvious...have you tried running sfc/scannow from an administrator's command prompt? It might be a corrupt system file. I just had to reinstall because Poser 11 Pro would start, toss an error and immediately shut down. But mine seemed to be a program thing. And it's still acting buggy AF. But I can at least load a scene before it fubars, refused to render and closes itself. ?
Recently, I was getting an error message on launch. I was told (by ThunderStone) to try the fix at this link and it worked like a charm. https://www.lostmarble.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=29934
Also, if you purchased the upgrade to Poser Pro 11 you will need both the original serial number AND the upgrade serial number to launch the program. I hope this is helpful.
Bit confused by what you said. The download for poser 11 pro and poser 11 is the same file. It is only when you put the serial number in that the pro features are unlocked. So did you do a full reinstall of the poser 11 download? A bit late now but all you had to do was change the serial number in poser. If poser 11 was working fine I would just do a full poser re-install and then put in your new serial number, and previous version number if needed.
YOU GUYS MAKe ME SO HAPPY
Fixed and running PoserPro11
Not sure why it didnt work to install with the PPro11 (full) serial but this is what I did:
Wipe out C:/ProgramData/Poser folder
Open SM DLM and input OLD Poser11 upgrade serial
Installed Poser 11
Opened Poser 11, and was greeted with registration screen > registered with P11 upgrade serial and PP2014 old serial
Poser 11 opens and loads without a crash
Help > Personalize and input NEW PoserPro11 serial
Prompted to Restart Poser
BOOM
IM A PRO NOW
Thanks guys!
