blither blither blither NOW they're working!!! aaaarrrggghhh.... I didn't change any settings since last night....didn't restart windows...didn't restart Poser...just went away and came back.... the darn things imported perfectly - (well, other than I just noticed the wedge sides are slightly bowed) - but.... *** just SHOOT me *** (or better yet - send me a free copy of Poser 5 - okay, just kidding...) no, really - send it anyway... ;)

Okay...I took a basic square (poser prop) and pulled the upper right corner to to lower left corner, forming a right triangle. Export as .obj - import to fresh poser studio. Render materials are white, white, black, black. Changed reflection to white. New triangle is totally black - doesn't respond to paint bucket. Only ambient settings make any difference. Set material settings to match that of original square. No good. Went into .pp2 file and compared material settings for original square and new triangle. Set triangle to same as square. No good. New poser studio. Export square and torus as .obj files - import to new studio. Torus is fine. Square is totally black - same as earlier triangle. Is there something about 2-sided objects that screw up when going through export-import process? Should this be in the technical forum? Any help would be appreciated.
