Subject: Poser Pro 2014 will not launch after Windows 10 update

Windows 10 updated August 28. I have not tried to use Poser Pro 2014 until last night.

I click the icon, the intro comes up, then minimizes to the icon bar and just sits there.

Last night, I removed the two security updates, however they are back.

I was going to reinstall the software, however I don't actually have it. I purchased it from Rendo and the Smith Micro installer installed it without actually downloading it to my computer.

I went to my purchases and all I can do is install the Smith Micro installer again.

I am at a loss!!! Please help!!

you can reinstall from the Smith Micro installer.
did it work while the two security patches were removed?
have you allowed Poser to penetrate the firewall?

No, it didn't work after I removed the 2 patches :(

I will check the firewall. I guess I can tell the firewall to allow Poser, right?

Everything was fine before August 28 :(

I do have Poser 11, however for some reason I like Poser Pro 2014. So, I'm not without Poser, so that's good.

Have you tried blowing away your preference files?
