Glitterati, can you elaborate on the technical difficulties that make her hard to rig for? Is it difficult to fit other figures' hair to her? What about clothing, etc.? Have any 3rd parties created add-ons for her? If she's difficult to work with, then I'd probably do better to put my money on figures that ARE widely supported instead. Thanks!

I purchased her when she was released and I do like her. However, there are some technical difficulties that make her very hard to rig for.
The response on the SM forums when she was released (which was actually some time ago) were not favorable.

Publicly, no, I won't "diss" someone else's figure. I'm sure you understand why.
As for hair, given that it's an Ali figure, she really has plenty that fits her natively from Ali, but the first image is an old V4 hair - Ophelia hair.

Yup! The web address is Mankahoo He's got many hair figures there that aren't for sale in the RMP, and they're cheaper there as well.

I didn't know Ali had his own web site. Interesting.
That's his Renderosity store address which doesn't seem to be working at the moment. You can find his web address in my Directory under the "Hair" category. He's listed under both names.

@glitterati3d: since technical difficulties were already mentioned, I think it is better to be specific so we all know what the issues are you refer to and we can see whether they affect us or not. Without specification of the allegation becomes a bit Kafka.
Unless you plan to rig clothing for her, no, it doesn't affect you. And, since you don't do conforming clothing, it simply doesn't pertain to you.

Not a good attitude in my opinion. Do you not want to share information or do you simply not have any?

Merry Christmas!
I was interested because I had purchased Bella1.1 in and wanted to add a Bella mannequin to the MDBridge for Poser. These mannequins are essentially skinsuits that come without all the humbug that makes the original figure less suitable as an avatar in MD.
The below is a plain fitting room result; just figure plus suit in and figure out. The mesh ensity of the suit is about 8 times as high as Bella's.
There are bumps in the weigth maps. As far as I can see this is the fitting room having interpolation problems on the coarse mesh. It is not a Bella problem.
My conclusion is that the geometry of Bella is on the low side to be used as a target in the fitting room. She would need a dev figure.

Then I would suggest you go purchase Bella and come to your own conclusions.
Yes, I purchased her an hour ago. Her mesh looks promising (better polygonflow than LaFemme).
And from now on, I'm gonna ignore you.

Sounds feasible. After the first impression the figure seems to be worth it.
Just FYI for those interested, If the basic bone hierarchy for Bella is the same as the free version I have ,then she is very easy to animate and can take V4 body animation data with minimal adjustments.
I may post a free basic walk cycle for her on my google drive if I can find the time.

Never seen that figure before, looks a bit like Roxie on first glance. And I'm pleased more people here are prepared to admit their Poser characters come to life. I always used to worry that people might think I'm mad. I wouldn't mind as much, but I revisited some of the posts she made using my account, and all of her text formatting has been removed. She always used to post in bold green italics to differentiate her posts from mine, but now all of that text formatting has gone, so those old posts of her's make it look as if I'm talking to myself!
I've told her to stop using my account because of it, which as you can imagine, didn't go down too well with her!
10 second walk cycle For the "Bella" figure for poser. I will put on my googe drive tomorrow.

I went to Ali's (Mankahoo) website and saw that he has a new Poser figure out named Bella 1.1 that looks very well-done and what could be a serious competitor to the current female Poser figures such as Dawn, Pauline, PE, even La Femme herself, if there were to be add-ons made for her. I'm wondering if anyone here has bought her, and if so, what are your thoughts? Any renders to share of her? She and everything else in Ali's store is on sale for Christmas at 50%, so she is $12.45 until December 26th.
Merry Christmas/happy holidays to everyone at Renderosity, by the way!
