Subject: How do I share poses from DAZ3D to Poser?

In between jobs and I dusted off DAZ3D again. This time I decided to try my hand more seriously at creating some custom poses I always wanted but no one wanted to make. Mostly because I'm behind the times in technology and up till yesterday was still solely equipped with V4.2. Not because of a lewd nature.

So... Turns out I have two different "scripts" that are supposed to allow me to save a DAZ3D pose so that a POSER person can open that pose. My assumption was that this would mean the model would get ALL the same positional values. Left foot left, right foot right, hips twist this way, hands point that way, yeah yeah all right.

This... is... NOT... the case.

I am currently finding problems with: Poser Format Exporter 1.5 (It combines hip and general x,y,z co-ordinates so the model is jumping all around instead of being centered around the 0 point)

and

Pose Builder Victoria 4.2 and Michael 4 (this causes some kind of warping and bending effect on the models, permanently damaging them so that even an undo doesn't undo the damage)

Anyway, the backstory goes like this: I thought I might try using the excessive time on my hands to turn a few bucks. Since I have the basics of what I need to create and host things I need to learn to actually do it. So, I sat down and actually I feel I did pretty darn good on these poses (including some combined poses of 2+ models). I thought I'd create a freebie pack and upload that for critique so I could get better and eventually start making full G8 gen pose packs. All very sensible. Try it out, find out if it's for me, then push onward.

Except I can't "Share" my poses to Poser people because they won't position correctly...or get damaged. Now, I know that there are people who straddle the fence like Zeddicus who posts packs that do NOT jump a model back and forth because I've got several of Z's packs. What am I missing? What power allows the saving of a file so that when a Poser person comes alone it will open without causing the model to re-position itself?

I'm available for chit chat and use discord to that end. If anyone can help I absolutely want to fix this so I can push onward.

You'd have to ask Zeddicus but my bet would be they are Posing in Poser and transferring to DAZ rather than the other way around. There are converters that take a Poser Pose file and convert it to DAZ without a problem.

That script you are using is pretty old though. The last update was 2011. You aren't trying to pose a later Genesis figure then export that for V4.2 are you? I'm pretty sure it can't handle that at all. It was written before they existed.
