heyas; na, something pointy. double swords, maybe. :) i like big baggy kinda pants, but you're right; not sure how well they'll animate with low poly counts. maybe he can use something on his forearms; some kinda fancy bracers. but not spikes, something lean and flat and with a wicked design.

heyas travis, this is the best mode'l u did ever! congrats. its really hard to say something about somebody else's work. so i'll say what i would do: i'd complete the model naked with detailed legs and feet and then aplly the clothes in motion designer. its just my oppinion.. tell me how's the poly count so far? great work!! loggie

loganarts ( ) posted Sun, 21 October 2001 at 12:45 PM

sorry travis, i just saw the poly count right now. i really think its a lot!!! i've seen very detailed model on the net with polycounts around 5000. it'll very difficult to render the animation. maybe quemloss2 could help.

TRAVISB ( ) posted Sun, 21 October 2001 at 3:30 PM

the majoroty of the polys are in the hands probally about 1400 a piece way to high but ill fix them as for the upper bod y though i want to keep the poy count higher there will be alot of close ups especially in the face i agree about completing him naked just wanted to see what the outfit would look like thanks for your comments and suggestion

I agree with the polycount comment. You can create a very good detailed model with less than 3000 polys. This one has 3026 polys, is anatomically correct with detailed body orifaces. Yes that means that she has what you perverts out there think that she has. I posted it at the CGchannel. I have not finished it yet and probably won't be finish for a while. Still needs work around the ankles and feet.

very cool model !!!!!! congrats. 3000 polys...outstanding. i'm very into this low poly stuff, studying the taron head in the lw cd. i still dont get his method.. well, he's taron, if i figure his method easily it wont have any fun... see ya

im not saying you cant thats not really my aim though im going for a more detailed look i think a well done male in general jus t generates a higher poly count a basic male for me usually runs 32 3800 while i can get a girl to look decent under 2500 thats a good loking model teph but i think it would look even better if you detailed the legs and lat area even more maybe just a tad on the neck after you did that you would probally have bumped up a few hundred polys i think it just has to do with the amount you want to let the tex maps do i like making the definition in the model and when you keep them low lw does a good job but often to me looks to smooth like in your model i think the breast and arms look well defined but to me the back buttocks area and legs look to smooth but thats just a taste thing i think

TRAVISB ( ) posted Mon, 12 November 2001 at 3:21 PM

the model above is 7300 but still is not finished to get the detail i want in the arms though i definetly needed i higher poly count i could have went for a less difined arm not showing as much but i like the look it gave me
