Beta testing, beta testing, beta testing, and yes, beta testing! Oh, and as ThunderStone mentioned, to keep me out of mischief.

Basically I use Poser in conjunction with Carrara these days for parody / debunking videos of doomsday YooToob channels, such as Planet X, Nibiru, sun simulators, channels that seem to think lens flares, natural cloud formations and sun haloes are some portent of the end of the world, Chemtrails and the "amazing" claims of a certain PhD physicist, who should know better than the garbage she publishes. As well as creating static characters for other members of the debunking group I am a member of.
So I am learning a great deal about animation on my journey.

Just kidding!
Um... Simple figure creation. Morphs. Concept visualization. Fantasy, horror, sci fi, surrealism, toons.
I got into 3d through Poser when someone I knew from art school gave me a copy of Poser 3 and photoshop on an old computer (my first computer, a mac). I was a sculpture major. Later the same person gave me a copy of Zbrush 2 with a not quite as old computer (also a mac). I bought Poser 6 or 7, can't remember. I didn't have a viable studio after graduating so 3d modeling and drawing (traditional) became my primary creative outlet. And remains so. Now I'm windows.
I work full time during covid. There's been no breaks here.

When I don't have courseware work underway, I keep the juices flowing by doing 'courseware without a course'. Historical stuff and gadgets, animated and explained on my blog, and later released on ShareCG.

Beta testing, beta testing, beta testing, and yes, beta testing! Oh, and as ThunderStone mentioned, to keep me out of mischief.
Is it working?
Unfortunately, no. I have a habit of getting into mischief no matter what I do.

Illustrations for one of the books I wrote last winter. Worked on learning to rig ridged bodies. Started a couple new hairs. Might finish them too.

I use Poser 13 and win 10
I use Poser for my hobby, storytelling. I'm a retiree. I used to create stories with anywhere from 400 to 900 pictures each and dialog captions below them (easier to edit than comic layouts). Then I'd put up each story as a slide show on my website. Most of those stories I've converted to fiction and have self-published on Amazon.
I recently changed my website and took all my stories down. One, though, I had converted to a video on You Tube. I used Amazon's Polly for the voices. I'm now working on another story (still figuring out what it should be), but I'm determined to do a better job and to have the patience to use Superfly renders. I don't yet have the patience to do animation, not for a whole story, anyway. (I did include some animation in one of my stories, however. It was fun.) When I'm done with my latest story, it will go on You Tube, and I'll probably include in the 13th volumes of my fiction series, Cinspiration.
I marvel at the artistry of so many people on this site, but I'm content to do what I can to entertain myself with my stories. We all escape in our own ways.

Old lady hobbyist.
All visual art or fiction is "playing with dolls."
I'm mostly just playing. Trying to use Superfly more, though I still greatly prefer Firefly.
I, too, do illustrations for fanfic, and that's a big reason why I want more head morphs. I need to get likenesses of real people. La Femme doesn't have enough, yet. Let alone LH. (They need more textures, too. Textures make a big difference in getting a likeness, especially the brows.)
I'm really enjoying the Classic Art Contest Rosity is currently running. Haven't submitted anything yet, but I hope to. And the works already submitted are great.
Right now, I am not using it for anything.
I am taking this time to clean up/restructure all of my runtimes (1tB+) - they have grown organically since 2004, and well, they are a bit of a mess.
Once this is done, I'll finish running clothing through the Fitting room.
After that little mission is complete - finish moving my DS content over to Poser.
Then I can really get cranking on my stories.
Not a great deal at the moment. :(

Michelle Willard been writing some interesting articles for the Poser magazine newsletter I keep getting in my email. One of the last ones she sent gave me my next question for all of you. What have you been using Poser for over the past few months to past time for the Covid pandemic? Have you been working on a comic, a book cover, advertisement, a standalone render, creating new content, an animation, learning a new feature, etc.?
