Subject: How about the import from Blender into DAZ (rig/shape key)? Is it possible?

Hello,

As the title says, I know it's possible to export a DAZ character into Blender. But is the inverse possible ? And is it possible to import a rig and shape keys from a blender character into DAZ ?

I mean, is it possible to import a rig and shape keys properly to animate it in DAZ ?

I think you got to bring it into Hexagon and build a new rig inside hexagon, but I'm not a modeler so I don't know for sure. I've got a friend that makes swords for me in blender, and he's mentioned that the rigs for figures with movement just don't transfer. He didn't want to learn Hexagon, so I've got no idea how difficult it is to get it together.

As for transferring stuff to Blender. You can't transfer a scene, and that's what sucks the most. If I could export an entire scene, I might give Blender a try for doing some renders. But having to transfer each object separately, then set up shaders... Especially when I'm very used to how Daz works and have less then ten minutes experience with how Blender works... Ugh.

I'd have figured the Blender community would have built a tool for transferring things by now, but apparently that superiority complex prevents them from doing so.

Hexagon doesn't do rigging. DAZ3D Studio rigging is done in Studio.

And now I learned a thing.

Someday I'll be passioante enough about an object to want to go throigh all the trouble. Then I'll learn how. For now, all I really want custom are swords, and my best friend models those for me. I want to do a showcase one of these days for all the work he's done for me.
