Subject: How to fix pokethrough on a morph?

lululee ( ) posted Sun, 02 August 2020 at 3:42 PM ยท edited Wed, 20 November 2024 at 1:18 AM

I have poke through on a clothing item with the Genesis 8 bodybuilder morph. It is on a product I am working on. I can take it into ZBrush and correct it. My question is what name should I save the morph as so it will auto follow?

The name should match the name of the morph, which you can get by clicking the gear on the slider and selecting Parameter Settings. Make sure it is the actual morph, not a controller (I can't recall how Body Builder is set up, but if there is a master slider and the separate Head and Body morphs that it drives then you need to match the latter - otherwise both your custom morph and the morph Studio projects will be present),

So I know this is probably solved and was posted a fair while ago, but for anyone coming across it later the BodyBuilder morph is split into FBMBodyBuilderSize and FBMBodyBuilderDetails. If you just need to fit the overall shape and don't want your product following the full muscle detail (non skin tight clothing for example) you can create a smoothed FBMBodyBuilderSize morph and then create a new empty morph for FBMBodyBuilderDetails

Hi skinklizzard, Thanks so much for your valuable info. I do have ZBrush, but I realize I need to find a tutorial on how to put in the morphs so they autofollow properly. If you run across one please let me know. Cheerio lululee

Hi Lululee are you using the GoZ Plugin to load the morphs or are you using morph loader pro and .obj files ?

Hi skinklizzard , I am using the GoZ Plugin to load the morphs which works fine. Basically my problem is I am using SickleYield's supermorpher set to add the morphs. It adds some morphs of characters i don't own. It seems there is some pokethrough on 2 of those morphs and some pokethrough on the bodybuilder morph. Since I don't have the character I can't see where the morphs are poking through. I tried on the bodybuilder morph to correct it in ZBrush but it did not autofollow on the morph I created in ZBrush so I am stalled. I added other fitting morphs but they don't autofollow. Grrrhhh! Any advice is appreciated. Cheerio lululee

I put together a short .pdf based on the bodybuilder morphs, I probably went into more detail than necessary so that hopefully its usefull to new users as well. not sure if it'll help you, hopefully it'll give you an idea of how to sort out your bodybuilder problem. As for the other shapes you don't have, if they have poke through might as well just remove them, it'll be a major pain to try fix it without the base morphs to see how much fixing is needed.
