Subject: DAZ to fbx issues

Heyo. I'm currently trying to export my DAZ 3D project into a fbx file to be able to open it in SFM, but am running into some issues. The hair becomes disconnected and the eye textures will disappear. Is there any fix to this?

Have you tried one of the new bridges for DAZ Studio?

There isn't one for SFM, but the bridges are really just FBX exporters and you can find that exported FBX file and textures in a folder called called c:TEMP3D

I mention it because it applies some of the FBX fixes that I would usually have to do in Cinema4D after an ordinary FBX export. It's a longshot but may help with one of the problems you're having.

Thank you for mentioning this, and I'm sure it will help. But now, what exactly would I have to do in order to export it "right" if that how I should put it?

Something that's worked for me, with the 'wandering hair' problem, is changing the parenting of hair within Studio. I have not used SFM but this solved wandering hair in the Octane plugin.

...but I suspect that the problem is really in how it is being 'imported'. There's not much you can do about that from the Studio end.
