Subject: Suddenly the transparency maps don't work...

Hi everyone. Lately, when I import Poser files into Vue10 Complete (both pz3 files and obj files exported from Poser) the transparency maps no longer work. They have always worked. I initially thought the problem was because I was using Poser 11 and not Poser 9, but unfortunately that's not the reason. To do a further test I loaded a sphere with a basic white color and applied only a transparency map from a "hair" package. I see transparency in the nano-preview and in the preview, but when I go to render the sphere is rendered without any transparency map. I haven't changed anything in the basic settings ... I'm desperate :(

I did further tests. The setting I've always given to my renders seems to be annoying for Poser files.. Now I have copied some render settings directly from those called "Final" and it seems to work. I don't understand this change of behavior by Vue anyway.....

  1. Did you check in the Render Options if "Re-use indirect lightning" is deactivated. Alternative you can check in the menu Render, "Update indirect lightning next time"
  2. Check the checkbox "Force use of reflection map" also in the Render Options.
