Subject: Help with transparency - blending from male figure to genital figure

I am working slowly but getting there with my Gino for L'Homme but I'm having an issue with getting the pubic hair area of L'Homme's genital figure to look a bit more blended in.

I created a fibermesh pubic hair conformer, I then made some changes to the Torso skin to gray it out a bit more so it looks more like a thicker puff of hair but I can still see there is a line there where the genital figure is attached. I have tried EVERY sort of iteration of the three transparency inputs and THIS is about as good as I can get. Suggestions?

My standard set up is: Transparency and Transparency edge both set at 1.00, while Transparency falloff is set at .6000 See if that helps.

Sadly I tried that one but it actually makes the edge MORE pronounced. From what I've read up on T Edge is that it makes the edges MORE pronounced the closer you get to the edge.

From the manual "The Transparency_Edge attribute defines the object’s transparency at its edges. For example, a glass appears opaque at its edges."

Then there is T Falloff " Transparency Falloff: The Transparency_Falloff attribute defines how the transparency changes as it moves towards the object edge. Smaller values create a sharper edge and vice versa."

Wow sorry that happened. ... I don't use genitals so I can't help then. Share when either you or someone finds the answer. That way others will know as well.

Well it seems by setting the Transparency Falloff to about 3.00000 it seems to blend it out even more. I do have a map plugged in there, actually to all three nodes. I may try one more thing tomorrow after my phone in doctors appointment, I may try to redo the transmap and see if I can get it to blend out more!

Just to verify, the gamma on your transmap is set to 1, right?

Set texture filtering to crisp or none for all maps. You don't want strong anti-aliasing close to the border of a UV island, hence the introduction of the crisp setting. Texture filtering default of Quality is usually only useful for avoidance of moire pattern effects with certain tiling patterns. Crisp was introduced after Poser 7 to deal with UV seams being visible with the existing filtering options.

Set transparency to 1 and edge and fall off to 0. Make sure transmaps are gamma 1. If edge is still apparent adjust transmap in an image editor, contract area of black (complete transparency) further in on uv island.
