Recently installed a new genesis f8 character and when I went in to load the character , the character loaded but did not give me the option to load hair ,pose the character and add clothes and accessories..I thought this was very strange .So I tried one of my preexisting F8 characters and it loaded ok but for some reason has gone to the textures for the new character..It doesn't give me any options like normal . I tried another character and it was the same .I tried opening a new scene with my preexisting characters and the same thing happened., not the right texture set for that figure.It seems as though a setting has changed and all my figures are set to a default texture.Not too sure what to do .Can I uninstall the new character /figure and all its textures .Would that maybe fix the problem ?

Try reinstalling Genesis 8 Starter Essentials - it sounds as if the base files have been altered. I'd certainly report this to the maker of the character (or Daz support if it came from Daz) as a possible bug.

Ok I will . Can I install over the top of Genises 8 starter essenrtial ? Or do I need to uninstall Genesis 8 starter essentials ?

if you installed manually you can just do so again and overwrite, if you installed from DIM then under the installed products tab you should be able to right click on genesis 8 starter essentials and choose reinstall packages

Not too sure how I installed it . I usually go into DAZ Studio and check the tab that says install then go down the list: accessories ,figures hair etc and install that way because new products not already installed .show up here and then I click "install highlighted" tab and it installs.
