There're two PAs at Daz named RiversoftArt and Sickleyield They have written some hair conversion scripts that can accomplish what you wanted. (They also wrote some clothes conversion scripts. I was able to convert some Gen 4 clothes to work with Genesis figures.
RSSY Hair Converter from Victoria 4 to Genesis 8 Female and RSSY Hair Converter from Michael 4 to Genesis 8 Male
I apologize I can't link them due to Rendo's TOS, so you just need to do a search for the PAs
I hope that helps

If the hair is a non-conforming prop. I think you could just rescale them and parent them to the genesis figure.

My issue with that is that, just parented, it doesn't follow the different head shapes/sizes of various characters.
I'm going to check the vendors you mentioned - thank you!

I just found a way, accidentaly.
If I first have it convert prop to figure, when I use Transfer Utility after that, it retains the morphs! :D ayyyyy I'm a happy camper.
(I was manually adjusting the hair shape to Genesis 3 base - that much is fine for me - I just wanted to use the Transfer Utility to have that shape into G3 male and the two G8s automatically, and their various characters, but then DS was deleting my original hair morphs.)

The only thing you need to watch out for is long hair being affected by the shoulder, back and arm bones influence. You get this sometimes in vendors hairs, and sometimes not. In your case, the hair looks short enough to be safe from that. Looks great! :)
The second one I released today had that issue - I figured out how to tamper with the weight maps and fixed that easily enough :)
Thank you!

I want to convert my Poser hair (props, no rigging) to DS, and well... I'm a DS noob.
Is there a way to use the Transfer Utility to have it automatically shape to the various Genesis figures without losing the hair's original morphs?
And is there an easy way to make a mirrorred version of the hair?
