Subject: Could a filter be added to hide 2D png renders from the free stuff area?

I appreciate the freestuff section very much and a big thank you to all those artists who share their creative 3D stuff there. But I noticed lately it seems to be taken over with 2D png renders by a few artists. Its turning the free stuff area into really just a gallery extension and it seems wrong to allow it in the first place, as I'm sure this cuts into the profits of the original 3D artists that made the models that the 2D renders are derivatives of. At the very least, could an optional filter be created to hide the 2D stuff from view? I think it would make the free stuff area much more useable. thank you in advance.

Hi.

I have taken this suggestion to our team, and we are going to have a discussion around these issues and possibilities of doing something like this. Thank you for your input. Give us just a bit of time. 😄

There is another thread here in which several people ask the same thing. All that is needed, I think, is to ask the several posters involved if their one-off 2D PNGs and backdrop photos can be bundled into themed "packs" of 30 or more. That would help clear the decks a bit, so we can see the 3D content and scripts. The other option might be to create a dedicated "2D freestuff" section, where the posters could continue posting one-offs.

Yes, both of those ideas are being considered. 😄

Any update on a filter being used to move these 2D freebies somewhere else? Cheers

you can use the main Free Stuff menu to directly go to the area you prefer and filter from there on

f.e. Top Menu > Free Stuff > Departments > 3D Models

hope that helps for now :)
