Since it's open-source now, I was wondering if anyone was thinking about updating reality. I'm not sure how many people still use it, but I imagine there ate a few.

I use Poser 13 and win 10
Hm, thats odd! I got a fresh runtime, only original files, not tempered at all and Sasha 16 works. I open up the characters folder and follow the steps like it states inside the folder. V4 loads and gets morphed... I'm not an expert but this is made with Python Script, right? Same goes for Lali by Erogenesis. Correct me if am wrong.
Are you sure the scripts are actually working ? its V4 so she might load up regardless, I loaded her up as well (Sasha) but I didn't check to see if what the scripts do or improve are actually functioning or not on her. (note I didnt install her in Poser 12 shes in Poser Pro 2014 I used a linked runtime of her already saved out in PP2014 with all the bells and whistles to bring her into Poser 12)

I only have Poser 12 on my computer and the runtime is about 24 hours old, just as the OS. I thougt after purchasing Poser 12, it would be a good idea to make a cut and a fresh start. I will create a scene in Poser 12 with Sasha 16 to test if the alterations of the V4 figure worked. I post the results tomorrow.
The only button that produces the error you mentioned, is the "INJECT The DAZ Morphs". I thought this was a function dedicated to DAZ STUDIO, so i never used it. Ah, i see, you managed to work it out.
In fact, such popup message appears when a Poser file tries to launch a Python script that can't be found. In this case, it's a CR2 file which contains: runPythonScript "runtime:Data:! Karina:html:SETUP:ILH 2.2.py"
And the python file "ILH 2.2.p" isn't under "....:html:SETUP" but, in my case under "...:Inline Help:" Note that I have kept only one runtime, with both editions.

** Apparently, I needed to copy over all the Python Scripts from my P11 Python Folder to the P12 Python Folder. **
So do you think this would work for some other things which used the older script as well ?

I am on a Mac. They say Poser 12 for Mac will not be released until sometime in December. On the Python website the have a script called 2to3 that is supposed to either convert or help with the conversation of Python 2 scripts to work under Python 3. Anybody tried this?
I have a lot of scripts I purchased, freebees or wrote myself that I use constantly. Without them I would be lost.

Thank you!! That helps!
I haven't invested in Poser 12 yet because I need those two things badly for projects I'm working on, and I've come to rely very badly upon the library of scripts I've gotten over the years for everything else. Without having -at least- selective item/layer render passes, magnet toy, morph imp, and GS2/3/8 imports (as well as heaven knows how many mini-pythons included with other products), I'd essentially be paying for a downgrade as far as my personal workflow goes. :( I'm especially concerned, and looking forward to hearing more, about cross-compatibility with these older scripts or surrogate support for those python utilities originating from content creators that have retired from the 3D marketplace.

Any ideas about Dimension3D's fine Python scripts ? These are sold up to now here in MP although he past away much to early in ever reason ... :-(
Someone said Bondware had permission from his heirs to update his scripts, and they were working on it.

That's good news too, as I have a number of Ralf's goodies as well.

AVFix is for Poser 11 only, and wouldn't help with Reality in Poser 12 anyway - Reality has a compiled .pyd file that needs to be recompiled from the original source files.
So basically what your telling me is at this point Reality doesn’t work in Poser 12?
Wasn't aware of Ralf's scripts being updated. COOL!

Came across a fairly new python library in my travels called Six to aid as a compatibility layer so single scripts can be compatible with both python 2 and 3 without the need for multiple versions of the scripts. It's got an MIT license and can be included with projects. Here's the link if anyone feels it can be of use: https://pypi.org/project/six/

Nothing does work anymore.
Most stuff from renderotica: Forget it!
The overlay stuff from this site like tattoos from shana or the lululee clothing overlays: Forget it.
I doubt that you will get a lot of the old stuff to work.
The only thing that I got working was Darkworld's overlays. Don't know why.
Horrible experience, very frustrating. Will go back to Poser 11.

Reality is now open-source...

"Oh - the manual says that? I have never read the manual - this must be why."I guess the good news is Poser 12 is now available for Mac so I can jump in any time now, but I still wanted to wait until there is a version of EZSkin that'll run in 12. Did anyone know if @SnarlyGribbly has made any progress? All I could find was this article
Poser scripts by Snarlygribbly
Thanks for the update @hborre, I'll continue to hold off for now then.

I am presuming that part of the problem why EZSkin hasn't been released just yet is that P12 is still having growing pains, so to speak. There are P12 nodes that have been broken for a long time and are being corrected now by the Tech Team, and nodes that are inadvertently getting broken because of making corrections. Until such a time that everything is finalized and working properly, we won't see EZSkin on the market any time soon. So don't uninstall P11 yet and keep an eye on any EZSkin shaders generated for P12 use; anything that may look correct in P11 may not absolutely look correct in P12.

We are currently working on quite a few scripts to update to python 3. We are working with the developers of previous scripts to get them working in Poser 12.
As was stated previously, implementing python 3 in Poser did break compatibility with a lot of the existing scripts, but please rest assured we are taking steps to get as many of those working in Poser 12 as possible.
