Where would you put Hdri files?

You can put them anwhere you like. You still have to load them manually if you want to use it as a light source.

Liquid_ice; Thanks

I have a 'HDR' directory in my content, and using a windows utility called HDR2JPG I've put in a jpg copy of each so it can offer me a preview in the open dialogue box & I can see what I'm getting when I click on the hdr version of the file. DS does not offer HDR previews normally, and my win 7 machine can't preview them either.

Regards,

Richard

I created a subfolder in the Content folder called 1a-HDRI then put them all there. And as I manually loaded them then saved a scene.duf file in the same folder, for future use.
