So why was the Face Room dropped in Poser 12? Sorry if this has been covered previously but I can't find a relevant thread.

It was only exclusive to some legacy and Content Paradise models and was vastly underused. In addition, it was never updated or revamped, it was best to scrap that entire room and repurpose the space for other features.

Thanks hborre. I must admit It was a feature I never got round to using but always meant to try!

If you still have P11 installed, use the Face Room there. Miki, all 4, has files suitable for the Face Room, as well as Jessi, Sydney, and all the CP Generation 2 characters. I believe Pauline and Alexa, plus their male counterparts, can also be morphed in that room.

Thanks for that. I was going to get rid of P11 (to make more room) now that P12 is pretty well complete but you've persuaded me to keep it! (I am a bit of a hoarder!)

There are several reasons to keep your Poser 11. One is the Face Room. Two is Python is different and older scripts won't run correctly if at all. Three the 3D path is also gone. The program itself does not use a lot of space and you can Point 11 to use Poser 12's Library so get rid of duplicated files.

Poser 5, 6, 7, 8, Poser Pro 9 (2012), 10 (2014), 11, 12, 13

Thank you Richard 60. Those are all good points. I've duplicated my runtimes so as to have separate versions for P11 and P12 but these have have been on separate, external drives which have plenty of room unlike my drive C: (an ssd) which is getting on for three quarters full. I'm sure this isn't necessary but not only do I have a tendency to hoard ( I hate it when a change of windows means a program can't be run anymore) but also towards hypochondria (fear of crossover interference). (And who isn't at least slightly hypochondriacal (?) at present!) Thanks again and say safe! p.s. I know it's been chewed over many times but if DSON still worked in P11 that would be a very strong additional reason for keeping it. The material available in the DAZ store is mouthwatering. If only....

DSON still works in P11.

Hello hborre. That was a splash of cold water! I went back to my P11.3 (.818) and yes the basic genesis character did load eventually but she was operating in cold treacle and if you took liberties the program froze and needed ctrl.alt.del for a restart. Genesis 2 produced a progress bar that stopped at twenty seconds whereupon, again, everything froze!. A lot of the older, predson daz assets I have work fine,. but so much of the new stuff is based on genesis 8 which puts it out of reach. Annoying!. I'd gladly buy new daz products but it would be pointless. So we're both losing out. And I still do not like DAZ Studio!
