Subject: FBX model is invisible, but renders fine.

Puzzled. working on a 3D scan, got it rigged up, but when I import it, I can see the outline of the figure parts when I mouse over them, but they are invisible. I hit render, it renders the figures. It acts like it Visible to Camera is unchecked... but it is checked. No idea what I am doing wrong here. thanks

Try reversing normals in the Material Room, or Force Show Backfacing Normals (parameter dials second tab)

I'm having exactly the same problem. Mine is a rigged model I exported from Blender. Some body parts show up, and some don't.

Force Show Backfacing Normals... no dice, still invisible

Reversing normals in the material room... I feel a bit dense, I cannot seem to find this option anywhere.

Yay !! Thank you.

I've had similar, due to specified but missing 'default' texture, shown during scene-builds. The fancy stuff is called by render engine.

There's also issue of FBX just not calling any textures. Some such may be diagnosed by opening in Autodesk's classic free 'FBX Tools', but that is not always forward-compatible enough for current v7.5...
