Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 28 11:20 am)
This looks much better, thanks again for your settings :)
But I still run in SreeD and can´t use OpenGL. I checked my version with the OpenGL Extensions Viewer. I have version 4.6 on my system.
When I change to OpenGL in the display settings, nothing happens and the screen seems to freeze. I even can´t use the camera. Does someone know about this problem, how to activate OpenGL in Poser? Might it be a problem, that I use two additionally screens?
If you are rendering in preview only, this would be unacceptable. The only way to control the skin specularity is to turn the specular chip of each light to black and view it in OpenGL. Of course, the texture will still look bizarre but you will not have that overwhelming glare. If you are rendering in either FireFly or SuperFly then the lighting in the preview would not matter very much because the render is what counts.
You may need to update your graphics drivers for OpenGL to work. I did some brief google searching and there seems to be an issue some people have with Win10 and apps that use openGL, but there are solutions. I didn't dig very far because I'm not currently on Win10 so it doesn't apply to my system, but if you want to use it then I'd suggest searching out the info. But first make sure your drivers are up to date.

Hi!
I just installed Poser 11 Pro on my new Acer Aspire notebook. As you can see on the picture (it's a closer look at La Femme), the preview quality is very bad. The resolution of the texture is very low and the reflections are way too strong! Is it possible to change this? That would be great!
In Display, I use these settings: Texture shaded, SreeD Software, Three Tones. I tried OpenGL Hardware, but that didn´t change anything, except that I couldn't move the camera anymore :)
And here are my specs: Windows 10 Home 64-Bit, 11th Gen Intel Core i5-1135G7@2.40Ghz, 16 GB Ram, Intel Iris Xe Graphics, 1920x1080 8-Bit RGB
I hope someone can help!
