Subject: Help! Adding a morph to a model which is IK animated. P11 Pro.

Hi. I got an animation set (more then one file) which have a V4 character and got IK with full arms and legs. I create a custom morph for that V4 at one of the animations and now I want to apply that morph to the V4 at other animations as well to make that V4 look same at all set.

The problem is, when I try to add any morph or pose from library OR even I bring the V4 figure with the morph, to copy the morph from directly, Poser just un-IK all animation and try to add morph after that and IK again.. and this ruins all the animation.

I am not at good for tricky things at poser but if someone got any idea to by-pass this Un-IK situation, I will be very happy.

Thx!

First thing I would do is make backup copies of your animation PZ3 files, just in case this does not work.

First question is are you finished with the animation movements? If you are happy with the results and don't plan to make more changes what I will describe will easy fairly easy to do. The first thing to do is turn OFF IK on your V4. Then turn it back ON. What this does is place Key Frames at all the joints that have IK movement (this would be things like knee bend). Now that you have those Key Frames go to Animation-->Resample Key Frames, Choice current figure and make a key frame every 1 frame. What this does is bakes in the IK movement without needing IK on. The problem is that it adds a Key at every frame and will make it hard to change your animation afterwards. Turn OFF IK and leave it off.

Now that your base figure is set apply your morphs.since these are new channels they should only have the one Key Frame and be easy to change along the time line.

Thank you for your reply. But I am using Shasha-16's special body pose morphs, like torso bendings. When I un-IK the animation, everything goes mad for that reason so I don't have that option. I must work with IK on. he hand posing system is working but others not. It's very lame and annoying.
