after reading a thread on Clothes Converter serial being missing from people's DAZ accounts I checked mine.

not just Clothes Converter but many Carrara plugin serial keys are missing !!!!

Fortunately I have backups.

I will need to compile a list and submit a ticket to their Zendesk but this makes me wary of anything stored there and glad I have all my zips and installers for stuff, from here and HW3D and elsewhere too, don't rely on sites to keep stuff.

been feverishly downloading and backing up my whole product library.. but i'm only grabbing what i think i'll actually render. is slower work cuz i saveas everything with the product name.

i remember content paradise charged money for 'history' so i backed all that up. in the last days of rdna, i backed all those.

i has big plans to streamline my content. i bought 2x 480 ssd usb3 drives.

gonna decide on like 10 eye colors for my g generations and leave all the rest on the backup. picking 10-20 hairs to install. kitbash all the characters i'm gonna need for my movie, offline the rest. gonna make sure the outfits i plan to use all work in carrara. set up all the uwraps. check instances arent borking up the sets i keeping installed.

i'm keeping gianni 6 and the minotaur, i don't render any of the other g2s

i grabbed a bunch of the sy fit utilities

trying to be really real about what i'll ever render. i liked the west park in concept, but i have never rendered any of it. theres stuff, by the time i kitbash it, can build walls and floors from scratch in carrara modeller. with doors that open and chairs that swivel. dont really worry about poseable toilet seats

found out didnt show everything. i had to specify a product name in the filter to bring it up.

Thanks for the tips. In an effort to conserve space, I deleted all my Daz3D packages after download/install. Will have to consider prioritizing budget more storage. Fortunately, the 8.1 stuff is the lowest priority to me. I went from V4/M4 to V6/M6 to V8/M8. I skipped V5/M5 and V7/M7.
I still have zip files and OBJs from other sites going back 20 years. No idea what is on most of it. Maybe individual obj expression morphs to be added to Michael 2? LOL.

I have no way of checking all my purchased products though, the fact some have said some have gone missing and no longer show as purchased concerns me, I checked the ones they named and OK but it may be random for each person.

i ran into a missing v4/m4 ethnic morph kit (Asian?) that I was certain I owned that didn't show up in my DAZ ProdLib. Resolved with a ticket, but it sure made me wonder about the other 'missing' items that I wouldn't know to miss. Not sure if it's insidious, or sloppy, or ... what.

Never had that problem here at Rendo, so that's a big plus.

I'm like Misty tho' - as soon as I buy, I pull the item archive/bundle, the pages/descriptions (pdf), serials, and keep them in a 'raw' repo folder per-product - all before extracting and re-organizing for my library tastes in a separate working/production repo folder and merge them into runtimes as projects call for them.

I've got my rdna-s, content-paradises, rendos, DAZs, poserworlds, sharecgs, etc. If I spent 10 minutes rendering each in a white-room, it'd take the rest of my expected life, and that's before freebies, and without being creative and customizing everything as I can't help but always do.

It's a good thing I enjoy this ritual... lol
