i downloaded the april newsletter freebie weeks ago (no idea which newsletter it was even if it's now in the archives, and ofc i deleted it from my mails), but i only tried to open/unzip it today. tried being the operative word, the zip i downloaded is corrupted, i can't open it.. so where can i find it again?

Hi maneki_neko! I just downloaded and unzipped the freebie and it unzipped fine for me, maybe the freebie got a little messed up in the download process on your end. I hope you haven't deleted the April 7th newsletter, because it's in that newsletter. I hope you still have that newsletter.

I'm sorry to hear that RFreise, did you download the freebie on April 7th or a few days after? I'm starting to wonder if the website was having issues around that time and the freebie got corrupted. You may want to try to download it again today RFreise, because the freebie unzipped just fine for me today.

I have some good news for you two, you all don't have to go looking through your email for the April 7th newsletter, I'm going paste the link to the freebie below. I don't blame maneki_neko for wanting a not corrupted version of that freebie, it's a great freebie.

April 7th Newsletter Freebie

OK, I hadn't tried unzipping it yet, so I just tried, and my 7Zip gave me the following message: "Unexpected end of data"

That said, however, the folder on my desktop where I unzipped it to, has 2 more zip files in it. 1_2 and 1_3

When I tried unzipping them, 1_2 gave me the same error message, but 1_3 didn't. I then looked into the folders where I tried unzipping them too, and the troubled file only had two items in it, the freebies folder, and a readme file. The 1_3 folder also had the usual Renderosity License file, so that may have been the issue with the 1_2 folder.

OK, I found the issue, the new zip file I just downloaded has 3 zip files in it, 1_1, 1_2, and 1_3, so it was the 1_1 zip file that was the issue, OR the issue caused the 1_1 file to not get zipped up with the other 2.

hmm about that.. a while ago, there was a place in the archives with a list of all newsletters for each month. i tried to find that page again, but the format has changed, and there's no list anymore. unless i picked the wrong page, the wrong memories, or the wrong alternate reality... so no clue how to access older newsletters - i can't keep them in my mailbox, it's ridiculously small and already full to the brim...

I download on the day I get the newsletter and usually check the download to be sure it's good but didn't on this one for some reason Anyway thanks for the link it's much appreciated

yeah, it's was what i guessed too. pita tho when something happens like here (well the mods are always helpful so it isn't an issue), or you missed/deleted a newsletter by mistake with other notifications.. or i dunno, were sick for weeks or sth. but then again, it's not a tragedy ~
