Hi,

Just curious if there is an add-on program to Poser 11 that would break "props" into (user defined) number of segments... similar to PhilC's "Exploder"? I can't get PhilC's "Exploder" to work with Poser 11 ...hence my question!

I haven't seen a replacement for that. You might try asking this same question over in the Poser Python forum, there's a member by the name of ADP that frequents there that might find it interesting. Who knows he might whip up some code similar?

so I did a little looking around and recalled that a member named Ockham had an Exploder Script tucked away on his site. I was doubtful it would work in Poser 11 but after some testing, turns out it works. I'll post a mini tutorial on how to use it... First you'll need the script, which can be found here...

Ok. Load/import the model you want to explode, in this case I'm going to be using a low poly ant model that I have...

Sorry, you want to run the model through UVMapper Classic first. Load the model in UVMapper Classic, go to Edit menu: Tools: Split Vertices. Save your Model. THEN import into Poser...

Back in Poser Select the model and run the Python Script. I just ran it through File: Run Python Script... The script has some options, see the ReadMe that comes with the script

This will generate a morph target called explode in the model... dial to taste.

No. Maybe sometime in the future, more than likely. Kind of obsessed with JCMs and morphs in an old abandoned free japanese figure at the moment. I have a bunch of unfinished commercial target things for La Femme. I'll probably resume that once finished my current project... or resume building another free figure that I was working on. I like to tinker. I appreciate you asking though, it's very kind.

Well.. should you develop clothing/accessories/skin textures for V4, just let me know! :c)) 10+ years on, and still prefer V4 to any other characters (new or old)!...She is an eye catching character + can be used directly in Poser!!! :c)))

I have pretty much purchased everything for V4 (both here and DAZ3D)! :c)))

She's a good figure, I like V4 too. Karina's Sasha 16 is my preferred flavor for pin up type stuff.

You might be able to get an update to PhilC's Exploder script. You could email him and ask.

AFAIK, Phil retired a while ago.

He did. He might still answer queries though, says he still does support for Wardrobe Wizard... ?

Too bad the poser physics plugin was never updated.

Wow, PhilC really did retire. He was still selling stuff in his store not long ago, but now the store's closed.

I know he did update the Exploder script awhile back, so it would work with new versions of Poser, but I don't know if that includes Poser 11. Definitely doesn't include Poser 12.
