Hi! I hope that you can help me with a vexing problem. Looking through the gallery, it appears others have it too. The problem is when I bend Victorias (or for that matter Posettes) knees more than ninety degrees, they take on an unnatural appearance. Instead of the kneecap remaining solid and rounded, the caps flex inward and take on a sharpened appearance. When Victoria is posed as illustrated here (DAZ-3Ds Dierdre I know, it should be Deirdre), the thighs also take on a tapered appearance as the eye approaches the knee. I have spent many hours adjusting the taper; x, y, and z scales, and experimented with the joint editor to correct the problem. However, it persists. Does anyone have a solution, shy of replacing this portion of the image in post-rendering? Thanks for your suggestions.

Is this Vicky 1 or 2? Vicky 2 has morphs to adjust the knees some.

Even using the "knee fix" morph on vicki 2 doesn't completely alleviate this problem. It's a real pain in the butt. :(

Dierdre, in this unretouched image, is based on Victoria 1. Thanks.

Poser has problems with joints when they get past 90 degrees, Victoria's mesh just seems slightly worse than other for some reason. I tried to make it better on Supermodel Vickie (who's knees are just as bad) by adding Joint Controlled Morphs to adjust the mesh, I got it a lot better, but it was a ton of a lot of blind work (you never know exactly what a morph will do, I tried dozens of ideas). I don't know if (Jaeger's?) JCM for Vickie upgrade in the store addresses this or not, but if it does, it is a answer. Dina's knees work better, incidently, all of Dcourt's figures seem better here, some work a little strangely, but better.

This knee thing has been a real problem for me. Lately Ive been exploring poses based on the classic pinup work of artists like Gil Elvgren, Earl McPherson, and Peter Metcalf (with the above image base on an illustration by Andrew Loomis). Many of these poses involve the subject kneeling or reclining, with that at least one knee folded past ninety degrees. I had hoped that there was a Joint Editor fix for this problem. If not a fix, are there joint editor settings that would improve the look of the knee? Ive also considered fixing the knee with magnets (which Im just learning to use). It has also crossed my mind to make a new kneecap prop from a sphere and try replacing the original knee with it (probably far more work than its worth). In the end, I fear that the final solution lies in the post-rendering something that I would like to avoid. Thanks all!
