How do I adjust the chest of the J-suit without adjusting V4"s? Every time I move a dial on the suit, her chest changes,too.zjnlcGms2roy59tnZlea9qxVmonBP1TDtBovEgUi.jpg

I must have missed something: master-synch was my first thought but upon testing with a sasha-16 character, it didn't seemed to change anything, I'm just wondering what I missed

What's 'Master Synch'? I never heard of it in Poser before.

Not sure to have the exact knowledge but from what I've understood, it's a mechanism that makes some parts move in synch while moving the master part, for example changing the shape of the breasts on the character introduces the same changes in the corresponding part of the cloth.

I tested this yesterday on a Sasha-16, which is a Vic4 weight-mapped but it continued to follow the changes on the cloth level, and it does the same with a classic Vic4

But that's not something I'm completely at ease with. When I need a similar effect, I use NGM, which lets me redefine with ease the shape of the breasts, as some clothes aren't really cooperative at this level.

I don't see where you're getting that drop down menu. And none of my 'Modify Selection' buttons are lit.

The drop down menu shows when you click on the arrows on the parameter dials. The arrow at the right of the dials where the numbers are.hlDfg4unK1ErODgdFWswQPq7aO5xaZYQihdG3fUA.jpgMuEOIkReul2qjLrkDQV2sd5Knf9hix8cwvPpjpuy.jpg

Aside from turning V4's body parts invisible, there are other options that can be attempted.  If the morph(s) don't exist in the outfit, it/they can be transferred through the 'Copy Morph from...' command.  This may automatically conform the outfit to the model or a simple copy and paste will set the parameter dials to match.  Another consideration is the 'Copy Joint Zones from...' command from V4 to the outfit especially if the model is a Weight-map conversion.

But, it seems that bringing the renders into photoshop has worked quite well for you.

Thank you. I've never had to use that before. It worked great. Now I know what to check first next time.

Your welcome. Also, if you ever wished the dials would go further either way, choose "settings" on that dropdown

menu and there you can increase the "Maximum and Minium" settings on the dials.

Master Synchronized Morph Dials

Full Body Morphs can be controlled directly from any affected body part, and dials can be unlinked for individual control of morphs comprised of many smaller parts. The Master Synchronized Morph Dials feature allows you to control all the constituent parts from any part, not just the master dial.

I'm intrigued to see that no one has mentioned the Morphing Tool, which is my go-to solution in those kinds of situations, although if you're that adept with Photoshop, it maybe doesn't matter.

I've been working with Photoshop almost as long as I've been using Poser- for graphic novels and such. So I'm used to blending 2 or 3 or more renders into one picture.

vopehov506 ( ) posted Sat, 25 March 2023 at 7:46 PM

Actually that mentioned Synchronized morph feature does not affect a super conforming outfit not to follow the dolls morph after conforming. Changing this feature will not be giving you any results in that matter.

making it short , actually it is a built in Cross Talk in the outfit. You need to remove it in the outfit for it not to follow after conforming and be able to activate it manually. A superconforming outfit has on each morph a line called "BODY" and not the usual "BODY:1"

Superconforming Dial ( Crosstalk )

Figure 1

BODY

PBMTummyOut

No Crosstalk setting

Figure 1

BODY: 1

PBMTummyOut

So to avoid that crosstalk on load you need to change the dial body value to BODY: 1 that you do not want to superconform. Creators released there outfit in most cases so that they automatically fit to the Morph++ from Daz making them crosstalking so to fix the outfit the way you want you should not know how it is to be done .

vopehov506 ( ) posted Sat, 25 March 2023 at 7:58 PM · edited Sat, 25 March 2023 at 8:00 PM

Little correction: If you want to remove the crosstalk to individual morphs in the outfit then Name it from BODY to BODY:2 or 3 as your first loaded Doll will probably have already the BODY:1 assigned

after this stepp you can reactivate the morph to fallow simply by checking the box in the body of the outfit called " Include morphs. This will reactivate the crosstalk that you turned off in the outfit script

vopehov506 ( ) posted Sun, 26 March 2023 at 4:10 AM

In addition, the superconforming method has been used on most released quality outfits for V4 ( Built in crosstalk ) DS took this method over for there genesis and Poser meanwhile forgot about this feature. It just works because there are not that many outfit releases any longer due the lack of good creators so older sold models just have it built in.

Talking on how this was done, SM Poser received Steady upgrades from users that mostly were built into python scripts and applications, this allowed the creators to just change the feature in there outfits from normal conforming and superconforming with just a click . Sadly this is not possible anymore so if you pull out a superconforming outfit and you get bad results due the crosstalk you are forced doing this manually in the script.

Yes it is a tedious work and you need to know where to search, In a way it will help you getting to know why things do this, in the other it is difficult finding these as there are not many left that have the knowledge. The change of the python engine caused a fall back to learn again how things are done in the scripts ( Manually ), there is no way around, there is no more button that will do this for you. at least not since Poser 11.2

I've looked at a cloth from 3d-Age, and I've remarked that if you uncheck "Animated" on the Body's parameter, you may change your character's breasts shape without influencing the corresponding part of the cloth.
Here's an example with Carly (believe me: she's somewhat "generous" with her assets at this place q9tXYBKXdaKGP5M9hDoCzgdkYiksUzJto40xcKDa.gif)

ThVo1Buhr4iWI6wsRxqtrSYW2oslVPgAlsGbI9OX.png

As reference: the cloth "volume" here was based on Carly's assets. I unchecked "Animated" and I could reduce Carly's breasts (BreastLarge = -0.200 above, = 0 below)
Originally:

Note that actually I don't do animation, even though I would like to learn (missing time)
Oh and my laziness blocked me when I looked for the word "animated" in Poser's documentation, sorry about that Ld5cvH8DWNcB0mfwfO3zaQY5rAh2uFRHXJVhWFRQ.gif

My problem's always the opposite- getting the outfit to fit the figure. There have been times, when half the dials won't work- they're there, taking up the screen. But they make no difference at all when you try to use them. The jumpsuit was a case in point. If I clicked on the breast area and tried to use the dials- especially the PBM dials- nothing worked. No matter which dial I tried, none of them made any difference. I'd have to go back to the Body screen to get any dials that actually affected anything.

It's something I've often remarked, too. and often but not always you will find the equivalent morph controls on the chest and abdomen parts, and often they'll work.
And it's one of the main reason why I bought the NGM package for Vic4, so that I can have some effects that are not easy to have using the morphing tool

Facts About Morphs

you might also find other helpful Information there

On the bottom of the Facts you will find the needed information about crosstalk, saves me allot of time explaining it my self Note: There are also some other factors that can influence a behavior depending on how the creator wrote the script but basically it is always the same. Getting this little know how lets you control your outfits in many way's.

You Welcome ... There are many useful feature with crosstalk in Poser, you can even enable a secondary figure that will control your doll when moving it so that it automatically will animate the doll movements quiet in a realistic way. for example if your doll is riding a bike by moving the handles the doll will fallow the movements in a natural way not letting it go, or moving the doll without loosing the grip. Same like a conformed outfit that controls the Doll morphs just that you use it on a tool to control the Doll movements. This allowing you either creating animations or complex poses between two or more interacting figures.

Not that they copy there movements in a conforming way but fallow them out of there own position ( A Mix between conforming and Parenting ) . Sort of gravity control is generated this way. A quiet easy setup in Poser, I even think that the basics was mentioned in a older poser handbook as a scene setup sample for Posette riding a Horse.
