These are references that I took to make the eye borders on my Previous posted renders, it was just to show that such Images can help you also get close details on your works when using Poser and not to show that other programs could do better, at the end it is not only the program but also the one who sits behind it ! If you do not make any comparison you will not Improve and see where you can do better, you stare at your renders and think how great they are because you avoid compareing them.
So it has a hell of a lot to do with poser! unless you gave up getting better and are fully satisfied with your render results with poser. I personally think that it can help having a look where details could be done right, and yes it could be possible to get close to this with poser. So it is not about game studio software.
You are restricting your self way to much, if you are not able then you just do not want to see !
And btw, Such a clip can teach you giving your Poser Dolls the right expressions so that they look alive and not just stare like Zombies. Something that happens way to often on the renders posted here. Poser can handle this with ease, so not a other software needed, just poser users that need to learn, to do better .... Do you really think you already unleashed the full power of poser with the renders you have published ?
Unless you tell me *how* to achieve such look at least by a rudimentary workflow or screenshots (I invite you to take a look at what ghostship2 is doing or bagginsbill used to), all you are doing is posting unrelated images. Wishful thinking does not help improvement.
At the end, though, you do you.
This is the main issue with users here, they always want others to do for them ! Like poser if they cant handle it they say " Poser needs to get a feature that does it for them " even that it is already existent ! So Nop no tutorials . I had it not with ghostship2 as this user is trying to find solutions, improvements , that creators renders are OK and getting better .
No need to prove my self by showing you how it could be done, you probably would not even understand. A reference already should show you where work can be done in Poser even if it is just for expressions if not for skins.
May I have to repeat the title? "Show your Poser 13 renders!"
Sorry vopehov506 but I agree with Rhia474 and I find this almost aggressive... That being said, you are absolutely free to start another thread and to let us present our "poor" Poser13 renders here.
That being said, here's a Poser 13 render of Glidman's Noname Doll, found on ShareCG
Cute character, isn't she?

Love it!Finally get a chance to have a little more fun. I'm liking the bloom function. I might have been a little excessive with it on this one.

Most people could use an instructor when dealing with an unfamiliar technique. My older brother was able to teach himself electronics from books, but even that was a form of instruction. Me, I needed a teacher to learn electronics to explain the concepts I could not grasp on my own.
But if you are unwilling to share what you have learned with the community, that is, of course, your choice. Hopefully, the community will not treat you the same way when you need help. But if they do, that was your choice, too.Have a good life, sir.
Isn't he also the one who said that if women had trouble with the way he objectified and sexualized his characters, they shouldn't object to his behavior, they should just block him so he wouldn't offend their delicate sensibilities? I'm paraphrasing somewhat, but that was the context I heard.May I have to repeat the title? "Show your Poser 13 renders!"

I guess it could not be understood here what I was trying to say and why I placed this 3d art in here, It was never an intention when placed to offend anyone nor Poser, the way it was interpreted right after my post ! I have no Idea why some people get the feeling that such a post could be offensive. It was a simple way to visually explain how I work.
anyway to make it a little bit better to understand ( If it was to Complex ) what I do and why i do it that way. here how it works with references to get results I want In Poser. they are small but still important details and always a beginning. So without references there is no way making Improvements. From my point of view it was not the wrong place to place this comment....

vopehov506, just to entertain your thoughts, yes, you are right, it is not the program, it's the way it is used and the outcome depends on the skills of the artist.
And similar to the picture out of an high end video game you initially posted, I like to share one picture created by an artist I greatly admire.
The thing is, this picture is made in Poser Pro 2014 in Firefly.
But, not every artist want to have this kind of realism, nor should every picture be measured by it's realism.
Instead we should embrace the diversity of styles and viewpoints.
Yes, you can do it, but no one has to do it this way.
Either way, the other commentators have a point, in keeping this thread dedicated to artworks created in Poser 13, so this is my final word in this matter at this place.
If you want to discuss this any further, follow RedPhantoms advice and open up an new thread.
I'm more than happy to share my thoughts with you over there.

corvas, this is an amazing render! Would you care to explain how you created this hairstyle? Is this self made or do you purchased it?

Thank you! I just made the hair in Blender using the hair particle system which I converted to their new hair curves system. In Blender 3.5 they have the new hair assets so used the shrinkwrap curves to get the look I was after. After I was happy I just converted the curves into actual geometry and imported it into Poser and rendered using the PrincipledHair bsdf shader. It was actual hair strands with over 1mil polygons and surprisingly Poser handled it really well.
I am really hoping one day someone could make a addon for Poser so we could import blender curves as Poser hair. That would make life so much easier.

on the render on the L eyelash I am not sure , is this a lost polygon that is causing a triangle? or is it a shadow .... boy that render looks awesome
Vopehov506, as others have said, please keep this thread for showing off Poser 13 renders. If you want to compare images from other render engines to that of Poser, please start a new thread.Thank you.
@corvas, thanks for sharing your workflow. Yes, it's a shame that Posers hair room is not that flexible and straight forward to use. Otherwise, since Superfly was introduced, rendering strand based hair is really no big deal. In Firefly a wig with 100000 hair's could kill the render or even crash the program. I'm not that good in Blender, but I really want to check this hair Modul out.

Thanks guys, but honestly; the work done with Superfly fur is straight out of the box, I did not change a thing. Poser really can render fur if it's done right. I lament that there aren't more artists doing this type of asset.
Most of the background stuff is from ShaaraMuse's nature props. Incidentally, this was one of the scenes that crashed my OptiX and rendered it with my CPU (older graphics card that I suspect will need to be replaced, but am happy it renders at all since it was unable to do so in Poser 12).

Hatschi...sorry, I'm alergic to cats, no matter how small or big.
I think Rhia 474's picture gains much from the amount of detail in the background and the very cunning composition with the backdrop picture.
Nice color matching. I agree with hborre in the subject of the lighting. Some light spots on the fur of the kitty could further the realism of the scene.
@JanusJsenwark Nice! You might try a different lighting setup that is brighter. I have a light set that comes with Poser 13 that might help. One of my go-to lights called "OK that's a lot of lights" is in there. It will light your scene and put sparkles in the eyes.

La Femme again....
Feel free to tear this to pieces as not being good enough to fit whatever "standards".
Or find things in it that are not correct, and things I should have done "differently"...
Or comment on it simply because it is a nice render of a massively complex HD sculpt of LaFemme...
Comments and how they are worded shows how much people really care about others when doing so, either way...
The comments on everyone's renders here will easily show who is standing on the bridge with La Femme, and who dwells under it....
Some things are easy to explain, other things are not........ <- Store -> <-Freebies->
@shrdavid: while I am still not a fan of LF' arms which is totally not your fault, you did a lovely job on the face. I just happen to think those boobs are overkill for her poor back, but again, that's personal preference and my own bias.. :)
The face expression is well done; the hair looks good where it's lit, just a bit dull without light. Perhaps a bit of reflection for the eyesurfacecso it doesn't look so dry?
