Hi, if you are using La Femme in Poser 13, I remember there's some material presets you can try for some quick options / starting point. I'm not in front of my desktop pc now, but take a look in your materials tab (installed or included runtime) and test it, maybe that helps. It is by Afrodite-Ohki I believe.

I would say that the roughness is off. However, as RedPhantom commented, without seeing the Material Room shader for her skin we're just guessing at this point.
Here it's:
Thank.

This is Snarly's EZSkin shader and it did have problems specularity, it was always set too high. I believe the remedy to your problem can be found in the EZBlinn Node. IIRC, reducing the reflectivity on that node will affect the overall glossiness.
Okay. I have managed to remove the shine. I have changed the Procedural SSS texture for the Simple PBR. It doesn't have the quality of the first one, but it looks more natural. Anyway, I would appreciate if someone could tell me if it's possible and how to remove the shine from the Procedural SSS Texture. Thanks for your interest. Greetings.

Not sure if it applies in your case, but with my Vic4's I'm using the same material setup, the only difference are the diffuse and bump maps.
I'm not counting a lot on the PrincipledBSDF node and its specularity, I prefer to add a second layer based on anisotropy.
But, from time to time, some bump maps, with I repeat: the same setup and the same parameters, render my character quite oily, in these case I have to increase the effect of the bump maps.

Well, after trying all the possibilities and diving into the depths of the material editor, in case something was left behind and I did not have the ability to see, there is no way to remove those shines. Not even erasing all the color panels, relief, etc. So I forgo specular materials for human skin. Unless I make a scene with someone sunbathing smeared with sunscreen. XD
NO human skin is ever that matte. You need to retain some shine for it to be even borderline humanoid. Of course, it depends on what you're after in your renders. I also suspect there is something with your light setup and how the lights reflect off the environment and the skin again. Is it Poser 11, 12 or 13 Superfly you are using? The three iterations are very different.
Hello.
I use Poser13 and Superfly rendering with the GPU.
The scene lights are fully attenuated, although I don't want to disable the raytracer for metal reflections either. In the main material panel and in the EZBlinn node panel the reflection color is black and the reflectivity values are zero, even in negative. I don't know where the problem is but it only occurs with the LaFemme Pro Procedural material.
Try making the "Alternate Diffuse/Specular" Darker allot darker then you should be able to higher up the specular value. Alternate diffuse/Specular ends up in Superfly as a light (or Glow) and I do not think it belongs there for a skin, it also removes any shadow from a light on the surface of your model. This should fix your glossiness
Just a guess :)
Did you make sure you were changing the correct ezblinn? There are 2, one directly on top of the other. One is for firefly, one is for superfly. If you're changing one and you don't see a difference in the render, then change the otherHello.

LaFemme Pro skin shaders are based on Snarly's EZSkin Python Script which does have some inherent problems but can get you to some approximations of 'real' skin. IMHO, the traditional PoserSurface node is becoming obsolete, a relic code that is no longer feasible with the current versions of Poser. It's a hard truth to accept but older and current content that is haphazardly put together with this technique will need to be reworked to render correctly.
We need one of the Python gurus to help create Ezskin presets for some of the recent, improved shaders

To be perfectly honest, we need a collective of seasoned users and testers to suggest, agree upon, rewrite, and implement a code that not only optimizes the shaders but also provides a variety of alternatives and controls to tweak critical settings. In addition, we're talking a complete overhaul of the UI as it exists currently.
Question is, how long will such a project take and how many individuals willing to devote time to it?
I wish I knew Python but my programming skills are as obsolete as a rotary dial phone. I'd be happy to help test.

Like others I do not have the knowledge of Python to be able to help out but I do agree that some changes would be helpful. At the moment I am converting old content with the scripts that are available such as Go Physical from Ken1171_designs and what little knowledge I have of Superfly materials. With the textures I have changed I make a point of deleting the PoserSurface as part of the process.
I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 - Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU . The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.
I'd be happy to update EZSkin with new shaders, presets and UI, if others were willing to be involved.
there are some rather talented Python developers out there (thinking among others to adp01) but I'd be happy to help, if you need, dear Snarlygribbly

Now that you have discovered Material Zones, you will find that different models will have a rather extensive anatomical definition, i.e., Victoria 4, or simplified, i.e., La Femme. There are advantages and disadvantages; the more extensively the model is divided, the more cumbersome it is to change all the node values. However, having a greater subdivision allows you to apply different textures to specific body parts, i.e., tattoos to arms, dirt to hands, make up to face, etc. without depending on a mask layer to isolate those parts. You posted 3 different models in the comment above, go back and look at the Material Room shaders for each and you will realize that they will have different node arrangements, either simplified or complex. And depending on those arrangements, you will have varying amount of skin response to the lighting environment.
Another version of Poser, which means everything has changed again with SuperFly... yay?
(sorry I'm late to the party, the Mac version only went live recently)
Same character and scene in all 3 versions of Poser.
I can keep playing with the EZBlinn Node until it matches what we had with Poser 11/12 and the original SuperFly.
In saying that, for anyone using EZSkin, an easier way to adjust this for all skin services, prior to applying EZSkin is to select Edit skin.
Then scroll all the way down to Reflectivity and lower the value.

I'm not the expert by any means, but there are some great shaders in Ghostship2's thread: https://www.renderosity.com/forums/threads/2978516/cycles-based-sss-skin-shaderI'd be happy to update EZSkin with new shaders, presets and UI, if others were willing to be involved.
Would love to see those handled by EZSkin.
Haven't had much luck trying to find the right setting to make the SuperFly preset look the same for skin as the previous version yet. Harder than I thought. If I do, I'll be sure to share.
With how easy EZSkin makes the whole process, ChromeStar if anyone could make them custom shaders for EZskin, I think that would be great! The more options, the better.
Did some testing of https://sharecg.com/v/85846/gallery/9/Plug-in/Cycle-based-plug-in-for-EZskin3-poser11-only
Unfortunately, these shaders haven't been updated to work in Poser 12/13, interestingly they still seem to look fine in Poser 13... actually, I think they look a bit better in Poser 13 than they did in 11.
The main issue is having to use Poser 11 to apply them.
Any chance we can get these working in the current EZSkin Y-Phil?

contains the updated plugins as well,, because yes:Python3 doesn't like the mix of spaces and tabs, plus a few more enhancements.
Be sure that your instance of EZSkin3 launches the right ones.

That's right, and very silly of me. Don't know why I redownloaded them. I just made things worse. (since you already fixed all this back in Poser 12)
But like RedPhantom probably just discovered, although they worked in Poser 12 they'll now give this error if you try to apply them in Poser 13.

Wow, haven't enjoyed going back to Poser 11 render times.
Anyway, just been doing some testing and have renders with what shaders I used in EZSkin to create these tests.
While I may hate the Poser 11 render times, after a lot of trail and error this was my favourite combination and what I used for my actual game back then, so it is more here for reference.
I was never keen on the Cycles shaders back in Poser 11, I didn't like the red glow near the hair or around the eyes.
Cool thing with an improved SuperFly engine in Poser 13, the Cycles shader doesn't suffer from that any more, so looks good now.
The BB Hair Shader I've been using for a while though, unfortunately has gone a little haywire in Poser 13, so tried out the Cycles shader on the hair for the 1st time and this was the result in the final panel.

Ok, we're used to say in French that a picture is worth 1000 words, so here's why the EZCycle plugin will not work at 100% with EZSkin3.1 and Poser13 actually: the SubsurfaceScattering node used has quite changed:
EZCycles tries to connect the output of a REdFIlter node to the Texture Blur.
I'm not sure what the effect is, but I managed to create an update to EZSkin3.1: now EZSkin3.2, it simply avoid any error if a connection can't be made.
You may download it from here: https://kdrive.digital-paradize.com/app/share/116364/5eb72f71-c932-456e-ae47-a8109857068c
It's only the Python script, just overwrite the actual 3.1.
I have tried an example with Sabby's Amber skin and two parameters changed. When EZSkin is loaded, clic on CFG after having selected the right Shader Engine:
Then, increase HighGloss and LowGloss values, this will increase the Rougness accordingly, thus you'll decrease the oily effect with Poser13's CycleX implementation.
I'm decided to write a new plugin, something like "Ghostship's Cycles", to add the this list:
I don't know when it'll be ready but that's decided

You must tell EZSkin where the other plugins are:Hm, for me the Cfg option is greyed out an unselectable, I only have Firefly or Superfly as selectable render engines, no Cycles. I am using the latest python you posted and the package form CB's site. What am I doing wrong?

The fact is that I can't render in Supefly, minimizing or completely deactivating reflections on human skin. In the materials room I set the specular and reflection colors to black and their values to zero. But still, those reflections that I don't want keep appearing.
