Hi! I post here a question, hoping somebody can help me. I set a scene in Vue, using also stars in the sky (atmoshpere editor). Then I animated the scene, moving the camera (position and orientation). Excellent and fast render, but with a problem: the stars in the sky don't move! I.e. , if I change the camera orientation, obviously the stars must move to right or left (or top or bottom) in my scena, just as happen in the real life when I turn my head, but this does'nt happen. Any suggestions? Thanks very much. ***Luca "cinacchi"

The only suggestion I might have would be to render a large picture of your stars and then apply that to a plane as a background picture. It would seem as though that should work. I can't explain why Vue's "real" stars wouldn't animate, but I suspect they might be in a fixed position. As far as I know, you can't alter the placement of them with the material editor like you can with the clouds.

Thanks Mike for the suggestion. I will try eventought I'm not sure It will work in my case. In fact, since what i want is the planet Heart rotating in the space, illuminated by the sun, with NO ground, and with the camera goig around, I had already to do this: * delete the ground * create an infinite plane with a perfect reflecting material, orientating it down (so it is not paralled to the "ground" that does'nt exist) * set the sky with stars, working alot in fog, haze and skymap positions, to avoid a "break" between the real sky and the reflected sky on the plane "downstair" :) So, I don't know what will happen addin one more plane but I will try and I will let you know.

I just checked in my copy of vue 4, and on panning the camera, the Vue stars and stars created using a cloud plane animated ok, so I can't imagine what's going on on your machine, sorry.

Hi Luca, the same happend to me. I did an animation of the planet Mars, the Planet dont move Camera is panning. In the animation it looks like the Planet is moving and the Camera is standing still and the Stars dont move too. I tried to put a big sphere around the scene with a star texture on it but that wont work, so at the moment i have no solution. If you find one i would be happy if you let me know. Gerald PS: please forgive my bad english, i'm german and school is long gone;)
