yes, I tried all of the cameras... same results. I know the main camera is not inside the body since it renders in the correct place.Absolutely out of curiosity: have you tried switching to a different camera? Sometimes default gets stuck inside bodies.
Have you tried setting the camera location to 0,0,0? Sounds like it's outside the viewing area.
Or check your setting for preview.

Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday
I switched to four ports, none of the views work. Which specific setting for preview should I check?Have you tried setting the camera location to 0,0,0? Sounds like it's outside the viewing area.
Or check your setting for preview.
If it looks right rendering it's not "Camera in a Wall" or "Camera teleported to Pluto" scenarios. Poser uses OpenGL for preview display in Poser 13. That's pretty basic and lots of apps use OpenGL.
Few things left to try before we start exorcising the computer. First is to reset Poser's preferences. The easy way is to reinstall poser when the Options to reuse preferences comes up be sure to select the "Backup and replace" preferences option.
If you are the brave type you can do this manually.
Exit Poser
move or delete poser.ini" from %appdata%\Poser\13\
Restart Poser
Next to try is the OpenGL settings in the Nvidia Control panel. I know you updated the driver but that doesn't clear the settings.
Click [Start] and type "Nvidia" that should be enough to make show in the list
Two places. First try the app settings.Always restart the computer after making changes here.
Then try the global settings
After that it's time for the Holy Water and some Sage.
The question may sound silly question I suppose but: are you sure that OpenGL runs correctly on your system?
Something you can test with an OpenGl-based screen saver.

If all works correctly in Poser 12 and previous versions, If you do not have Black screens on Blender, Daz Studio etc then it is most obvious that your computer is working in a correct way. I mean if there are no similar errors on other 3D applications or programs you are using then the Problem is most likely in the poser version it self. The way you mentioned the issue does not seem to be a Driver issue or a computer issue, if it were then you would of noticed it already before Installing P13 on your machine, trying to fix the computer because one program is not working right might cause to break something else. It already happen to me and I learned the hard way. You might have to concentrate on the Poser Install it self, Clean it fully out, Install on another path, use a older version release, do not try to fix windows or drivers if all other stuff work like a charm.
make sure to Kill these folders before making a new install, or use a appropriate uninstaller that removes any trace.....
C:\ProgramData\Poser\13
C:\Users\????\AppData\Roaming\Poser\13
I also encountered issues in P13 when running the first time, caused by the "Launch to Launcher" causing Poser to crash several times on my side. So I skipped that one and using the old traditional way " Launch to preferred scene " since then there were no more shutdown crashes. P13 is still having loads of bugs and every update brings new ones, a little Russian roulette .... so sure not Win or driver issues :)
" Also to be mentioned " that Poser 13 since the beginning when moving a floating window, in my case the preview screen it is causing Poser to flash, getting white lightning effects, in some cases over the whole surface, but mostly on the left or right side. Might also be the root cause of your black screen just with another symptom. Might just be my system who knows but also the only program I have that is causing such lightning flash effects when moving a window so " Not Win or Drivers for sure "
Actually this happens on any window if set as floating in P13, it just flashes Poser :)
CoolUpdate: My preview screen is finally working. I checked the box for "perform a clean installation" for the latest game ready driver version 546.17 and it fixed my preview screen. Something must have been corrupted on my system. Thanks again for everyone's help.

Poser 13 preview screen is black, I'm using the default scene and lights. Poser 12 preview works with no problems. I installed the latest nvidia drivers. Running windows 10, rtx 3060.
