How do I do that?Reduce the glossiness or the specular. It is reflecting too much light.
I meant to ask is there a way to do it other than the materials section? If not, how?Reduce the glossiness or the specular. It is reflecting too much light.
We're going to need to see something along this line with everything spread out so we can see what is plugged into which node.

According to the screencap, there are several incorrect node connections that should be corrected. Understand, this is an old hair piece and the way the shader is 'wired' works in Firefly, but it isn't efficient. The image below illustrates how to correct the node arrangements.
Notice, the Blinn node is incorrectly attached to the Alternate_Diffuse channel. It should be connected to the Alternate_Specular channel, and if it looks anything like below, decrease the reflectivity value until the specularity of the render is reduced.
This should improve the hair texture without completely overhauling the Material Room. You may need to make similar changes other zones.
